Summary: i didnt connect it through just with my soundstream headunit, it sounds better then standard car speakers but one problem was it wouldnt fit in the speaker doors so i had to do little modification and it was all good. as i said for this price its a good product.
Summary: I Got this Subwoofer to replace an older Subwoofer I had for 4 years I can tell you theres a big difference in the two the older Sub was way louder and had a lot tighter bass but this model its not even noticable my other speakers drown it out I guess i'm going to have get a higher quality sub next time thought this was gonna be a cheap quick fix but nope
Summary: Don't bother buying this sub woofer unless it's all you can afford. I used this to replace a JBL sub in a 1994 ford explorer which lasted 17 years. This one lasted 6 months. It was hooked up to an Alpine head unit with a Punch 100 watt amp powering the sub. I was never satisfied with the sound of this unit but now after it has blown without being abused, I should have bought a better speaker. It's the old saying, you get what you pay for.
Summary: I bought a pair of these, less then a month ago. The one side, has Already blown out. These speakers are rated at 600 watt's, I'm using a 300 watt amp....like I said, the one Didn't last a month. Bottom Line..
Summary: well i just got the speaker today and i went and put them in my box as soon as i got them just to find out that the speaker is blown and dose not work i want to know what is going on with this
Summary: These will blow out so fast it will make your head spin! I connected 2 of these Lanzars to a Planet Audio 600 watt amp, with 300 watts per two channels, inside a properly sized MDF box. That means a maximum of 300 watts could possibly be delivered if the volume levels were all set to maximum. With all amplifier settings set to the lowest settings possible, I had these working for about ten minutes.
Summary: I bought this subwoofer as a replacement to the stock sub on a 2004 Wrangler. It did not fit without extensive modification to the inside of the mount in the console. It worked very well for a good duration, but after a number of months, the sub finally began overheating and cuts in and out. Good product for what it was and the cost of it, but it's probably just time to uprgade everything all the way around.
