Excerpt: hWe were concerned about going with such a large driver but we installed the subwoofer with bananaplugs so that when we need the cargo space its very simple to remove the sub for shopping trips, etc....but we have only needed to do this one time since the sound quality improved SO much with this addition. There are so many cheaper woofers to choose from but this one is worth the extra expenditure. Cannot recommend it enough.
Excerpt: Perfection is the key in this subwoofer. loud, crisp, accurate frequency response, style, power handling. This is an advanced jbl speaker that has taken almost 4 years of making to make this subwoofer as great sounding as it is. This sub sounds great in any car, and can handle lots of power. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED compared to anything. And though you may pay a little more for quality, it is not overpriced. GREAT JOB JBL!
Bass I've never heard (or felt) in movies, music, and games!!!

Summary: I'm not a technical audiophile, let me make that clear, so I won't be dishing out room acoustic measurements, sine wave charts, and technical specs galore! I have two of these monsters in slot ported R/T 300 boxes, coupled with a Dayton SA1000 amp for each sub (you can also find both of these on Amazon).

Conclusion: I bought two PC of these monster subs and a piece of T2000-1bd rf amp... it's so powerful and the spl is really amazing. I installed it to my old look Toyota revo and it is the most powerful car audio set up in town. It hits 147.2db on termlab without any sound proofing or body modifications on my vehicle. I can recommend this product because of it's durability and quality. What you see is what you get!!!
