Don't waste your money

Russell from Cascade, WI, Sonic Electronix
16 April 2012
  • Conclusion: I got this sub as a warranty replacement for another boss sub. I put it in and turned my amp down to break in the new sub. It shorted out after 15 minutes of having it installed. It sounded decent when it worked but not a wise buy.

Peice of ****

Charisse O., Newegg
17 July 2011
  • Summary: blew one coil, it was barely moving, then 30 secs later the second blew, and i cooked the sucker.
  • Pros: cheap, & hit really hard like a good subwoofer...
  • Cons: it died after about 5 mins of running it on a 800w amp. i would not recomend this sub at all

Great subs

Matthew from woodbury, MN, Sonic Electronix
15 July 2011
  • Conclusion: i have two of these at 1 ohm at about 1400 - 1600 watts rms and they take it all day. its a sealed box and my car has a trunk not open like an suv or hatchback. and i can feel my neck vibrating. every mirror in my car shakes pretty hard. for the price you cant go wrong. the sound is very clean and has a good range of frequency response. these are no mtx 9500's but they over met my expectations. i have no cons about these subs.

Boss speakers

Lisa from Springfield, MO, Sonic Electronix
13 April 2011
  • Conclusion: I would recommend the Boss CX124DVC speakers. I bought them and installed the set in a 72 Javelin. The sound is great, they were easy to install and wire up to my system. The price was very reasonable.

Boss 12s

Farva from Littleton Colorado, Sonic Electronix
13 February 2011
  • Conclusion: These subs hit really hard if you know how to use them. I have two 12s in a separated, ported box with a dual channel 1500wt amp. It was only 200 for everything and it sounds great.
