Summary: I was very impressive by the sound of this 50 watt tube. I installed it in my Jeep Wrangler yj and it more than fits the bill. Install was easy although the splicing gizmos are cheap and did disappoint. I recommend this to anyone with limited space who needs a sub.
Summary: Bass output is good, but sometimes a bit muddy. If your looking to fill in a tinny sounding system, this will do the job, but if you're looking for high end clean sound you'll need to spend more money. With this you'll also want the remote if you have a newer system with only digital sub controls. It's a PITA to try to change the bass level with different songs when you have to go through several pushbutton menus to get to a digital bass setting.
Best upgrade to my truck yet! Way bigger sound than expected.

Summary: I love this thing! Took a trip to New Mexico (1300 miles each way) and realized how much my stock stereo lacked once my family all fell asleep and I was driving alone. As soon as I got home I bought this and some new door speakers and omg what a difference. Installed under the back seat of a 2000 Silverado Xtra cab. Now everyone, and I mean everyone, that gets in makes a comment on how my stereo sounds. It really livens up the factory stereo.
Conclusion: I purchased this sub; to complete a high powered audio system up grade in a 36 ft. motorhome. Space was issue, for the sub was going to be installed under a couch. The Bazooka BTA8100 was a perfect fit, and with only a half volume setting, it provides room-filling bass (remember its a motorhome) !
Spend your money on something better. Not worth the effort.

Summary: Meh. I expected better sound in this price range. The lack of any way to adjust the frequency response totally sucks. The separate remote adjustment for the bass level doesn't work like it should either (design flaw). After taking my car apart and spending a few hours installing this thing, I just said "to hell with it" and decided to keep it even though I am mostly dissatisfied.
Summary: It just isn't a stereo without a good balanced sub-woofer. I added this to my 2010 Ford Fusion SE factory stereo with Ford Sync. I also added wired remote volume control. It works seamlessly. Read the directions and you're good.
