Wow!!!

Jose, Crutchfield
19 July 2012
  • Summary: My brother in law did not believe it was only 8" and that it had a built-in amp. Very satisfied with the bass it produces; using it to hear mainly dubstep and this tube makes the bass in the music come alive.
  • Pros: Small, powerful, compact . . .
  • Cons: none to date

Compact, great sound, easy to install!

  • Summary: This self powered subwoofer is great for compact places. Takes virtually no space compared to a standard box. Very easy to remove with a single wire harness. Great sound for an 8" sub, however the range is limited. Unable to pick up lower frequencies that can be noticeable.

Sweet item

Douglas K., Newegg
30 April 2012
  • Summary: The more I have thought about this, I now have come to the conclusion that, IF, I ever receive anything in this condition, or close to it, that item will be returned immediately. I took a chance here, and, all is well. The next time I may not be as lucky. Chalk this one up to experience, but NEVER again.
  • Pros: I put this in myself after buying the F.A.S.T. wiring system. Glad I went with 8" powered over the 6" one. Really balanced out my new JVC Arensal and JL system. It put the new system right where I wanted it to be. The install was very easy, too.
  • Cons: Not sure who is to blame on this but, when I received this Bazooka via UPS from the egg, the box was completely open on one end torn and partially crushed. There were what looked like about three pounds of packing tape all over the open end, too. I made sure no items were missing or damaged in any way. Very disappointing. I could not give 5 eggs given the condition the box was in when I finally got it.

great product

  • Summary: installed sub in my daughters 2002 celica gt to factory head unit. sounds great !!!! wiring was a breeze with the quick connect harness. only took about 1 and 1/2 hours from start to finish. at least 15-20 minutes was spent looking up color codes for front speaker wires and figuring out where I was going to run the harness. also installed optional remote, for $20.00 its a must have and works great.
  • Pros: sounds great, easy install. do not have to run power line from battery with this model
  • Cons: none at all

Good sound

  • Conclusion: The Bazooka BT8100FHC is a nice addition to the vehicles sound. After purchasing we found out that this unit is designed to "ENHANCE" the factory sound and not be a subwoofer as thought. It will not rattle the windows of the vehicle in front of you but it really does enhance the sound inside your vehicle. Being self contained helps on the wiring also.

Nice Little Sub

Eric from rapid city, sd, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: I have this in a 2011 Chevy Cruze. As this is a new car i didn't want to cut it up too much, this fits the bill. It is very light weight and power efficient :) perfect for an eco car like the cruze. It provides a good amount of extra low end to the factory system and goes pretty low for an 8 inch sub. You can buy stuff that sounds better-louder but it will be a lot more heavy, expensive, and will take lots more power to drive.

Great for the Money

Jesse W., Newegg
17 March 2012
  • Summary: Been doing this for years. Back in the day I used to run some pretty high end stuff. Phoenix gold, Orion, Fosgate, ppi ect.. Not grant it. This isnt any of those. But this does add some nice bass to fill out my stock stereo in my honda accord. For $179 with built in amp its great. This model did not have the fast hookup but still all in all went pretty good. About an hour and a half and I was up and going.
  • Pros: good bass for inside the car. Not going to rattle the windows but fills out the stock stereo nicely.
  • Cons: wires are pretty short and no fast.
