Summary: OK, unless you're looking to blow the trunk off your car, this is a great value system. Not overpowering bass, but it does give some punch to whatever you're listening to. Bass at the low-end sounds better than mid-high range bass, but definitely worth purchasing. With the quick harness, it was an incredibly easy install!
The concept sounded good but It didnt work for me.

Summary: I have a new 5 series BMW, wanted something that would not take up all the trunk space. I figured pay the extra money, buy something turnkey ready and make the installation quicker with a product made for what I wanted to do, tap into a stock radio output. Well it doesn't sound very good, almost worth not having it at all. I dont think there is a built in crossover so you hear a lot of the upper bandwidth coming from the speaker.
Summary: I have a Ford Explorer Sport Trac that really does not have much room in the cab with room for five people most of it is filled with seats and there isn't any room under the seats. I had this placed in the middle of the back seats so that I could still fit four and the bass is terrific for what I like. With a small cab the bass can rattle everyone's chest and it doesn't sound obnoxiously loud to others.
Summary: I didnt want to get rid of my factory radio since it has lifetime satellite radio, and had no preamp outputs for an amp. I own 2 12" mtx subs and an amp but I didnt want to bring it to the shop which would charge me to install it parts and labor. Plus my hatchback is smaller than my previous car, this sub fits perfectly in my trunk. The install kit was easy to use, all you need to know is how to take the receiver out of the dash.
Summary: As someone who used to work in car audio installation, I fully expected to be returning this item shortly after I bought it. You're not going to get that deafening sort of piss-off-the-neighborhood bass out of this, but it is enough for someone who is no longer 17 years old driving their mother's old Honda and misses having that little extra "bump." I have this installed in my soft top 4Runner.
Summary: Ordered Bazooka. Item arrived in terrible condition. Box was far over sized for product. Screws fell out of subwoofer and it was cracked. Still went through hassle of trying to install. Did NOT work! Ordered second identical item which too was shipped in oversized box, not enough packaging and was damaged more than first one. Amplifier had fallen and was broken inside of subwoofer. Failure!and now we have hassle of taken these giant boxes back to UPS to return.
Summary: You're not spending a couple grand on amps, wiring, boxes, subs, etc....you're spending a couple hundred for an all-in-one amp/sub, and it's worth it! I get the bass I want without sounding like a hood kid in an Impala..
