Power from the Bass Gods

Brian F, Crutchfield
18 August 2015
  • Summary: If You don't Rate these 5 in every category, then you probably didn't hook them up correctly. Or didn't put them in the proper box. I run them off A Hercules Brutus 3000 watt Rms amp and they pound harder than I can handle. The proper tuned enclosure makes a huge difference also.
  • Pros: Solid, powerful, Alpine quality, great bang for the buck, and pretty
  • Cons: Needs proper enclosure and not for sissys

Very good subs for the price!

Mike N, Crutchfield
23 February 2015
  • Summary: Love these subs! I was rocking the previous gen 1223 d's and with 2200 watts going to them, they have been falling off. When the first went, replaced with one of these guys. Now the 2nd one failed horribly, I now have two of the 12d2's Been able to turn my gain up almost a 1/4 turn and have been...
  • Pros: Price and power handling for the price.
  • Cons: Sometimes the jumpers for ohm selection don't feel secure. Put a dab of silicone on them and all is good.

David Z.

David Z., Crutchfield
18 December 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this sub to replace a much more expensive sub that was taking up too much room in my trunk because of the size of the box required to hold this ferocious sub. I had doubts as to whether the Alpine could match the performance of the old sub.
  • Pros: Solid, well constructed, handsome and very good performing subwoofer.
  • Cons: None to mention yet

Pretty Nice

Spencer C., Crutchfield
13 October 2014
  • Summary: Put it in a ported and sealed box. Sounds better ported in my opinion. Very nice with the old school hip-hop songs, but I would prefer a different one for the newer songs.
  • Pros: Great sound Great Price

Alpine Type R

MarcR, Crutchfield
11 September 2014
  • Summary: Bought a pair of these off a friend and I only run them with a tiny 250w amp and they still pound really hard. They are about perfect with a 600w though.
  • Pros: Look amazing, great sound.
  • Cons: pretty heavy, especially paired in a box haha.

The mother of all speakers

Anonymous, Crutchfield
26 July 2014
  • Summary: This is the mother load....this speaker has the deepest bass of any speaker I have ever owned. It take a good sized amp to run it but you will be more than satisfied with your purchase.
  • Pros: Clear deep bass, great design, cool logoing, and clear instruction for various uses.
  • Cons: Needs a large amp...power hungry

  • Pros: Perfect hard hitting bass of any type if wired and. Paired right
  • Cons: None
