A great idea, but with a flawed user experience that really lets it down

Summary: This may well be perfect for many people, but having just used it pretty intensively over the course of a two-week 1,800 mile road trip I have come across some quirks and foibles that I find annoying and which - for me - let this unit down.
Summary: Fantastic sound , so crisp and precise. The internal storage is a brilliant idea , no horrible wires or cradles . Easy to install and idiot proof to use . I honestly can't fault it . Highly recommended .
Summary: fantastic sounding stereo. simple to install once you have the right harness for your car. simple to use with minimal reading of the instructions. although, i do think that it's ridiculous that sony supply the usb adapter for an ipod but don't supply the adapter for a "SONY" walkman, it costs...
Summary: I've been dreaming of changing my car stereo ever since I got the car, ie 6 years. This year, having sorted my Sony Xperia S phone and knowing I was getting a version 7 iPod Nano, I bought this as a birthday present to myself.
Summary: Having long been a fan of Sony head units (been using them for around 12 years now) this review may be a little biased, I also don't use some of the features on this unit. Packaging: Not really a lot to be said here, unit was well cushioned in the manufacturers box and also send out from Amazon in...
Summary: I had this stereo fitted in my twelve year old civic two years ago and it has been very good.I have a memory stick loaded with my fave tunes which easily fits into the tray behind the flip down facia or it can be fitted into the usb slot in the face of the stereo. The front or facia is very easy to...
Summary: Previously had the DSXS100 more basic model which I was very happy with but wanted the bluetooth capability of this model for handsfree calling. Slightly concerned that if I upgrade to iphone5 it possibly will not fit in Tune Tray but the bluetooth audio works fantastically so not a major problem.
Summary: We have installed about 10 of these headunits now and to be honest there great value for money in the sense it has hands free built in , a pocket actually inside the stereo to place your ipod so there`s no leads hanging out the front like most ipod units of today!
Excerpt: The Sony DSX-S300BTX has been with me now for a fortnight and its time I wrote a full product review. I have had the stereo in my car for 10 days, this has allowed me get a good feel for the unit and test each feature fully.
