Great radio- when the Vol/skip/ChangeSource buttons don't lock up!

Summary: Great radio- when the Vol/skip/ChangeSource buttons don't lock up! This Sony CDX-GT300 was preinstalled in the used '92 Celica I just bought my daughter! Good thing I'm QC'ing this a few months before she she gets her permit! Whoever designed this so the volume control doesn't ALWAYS remain the vol.
Summary: I'd like to point out some things that other users haven't yet about this stereo. I don't like the fact that I can't control the bass and treble. Instead, there's this thing on the stereo where you control the highs, mids, and lows. I'm no sound genius so I don't understand what this means yet.
Summary: I bought this about 6 months ago rebuilt on Amazon and paid a local shop $30 to install it. It has alot of buttons I have not taken the time to learn how to use but for a cd/radio system it has been trouble-free and has great sound.
Summary: This radio has all I ever wanted. I can play 11 hours of music on one CD when in MP3 format. The display is readable from any angle. The remote is a fantastic feature to prevent a distraction from looking at the radio for its buttons. The sound is awesome and crisp.
Summary: Friend of mine gave me this stereo - it's EXCELLENT. Sound is AMAZING. Installation was a breeze. I got a wiring harness from Best Buy for my Corolla and it was a piece of cake. I put new speakers in my car last year and this thing sure takes advantage of them! Sounds amazing.
Summary: This is my second after market Sony CD player in my old 1990 Geo Prizm. The first sony I bought in 1998 and after 8 years, the CD skipped quite a bit on the horrible roads of San Francisco. Yes, you would think a world class city would take care of it with HUGE taxes. Well no.
Summary: I picked up the Sony GT300 over the weekend and had it installed for free (thanks Future Shop). So far it has exceeded my expectations. This repalced my stock Honda speakers in the CRV and the sound level and clarity has gone up tremendously.
Summary: Just bought this in had it installed in my Miata. Sounds great - plays CDs without any skipping. Mostof all, has an aux input for my Mp3 player - much better then the usual setups. Highly recommended.
Excerpt: I am very happy with this Car Stereo. It looks good, in the dark it lights up in red which looks extremely cool. It is very easy to use...although it does take some getting used to. The main complain I have in this respect is that the 'on' button is not where I'd have expected it to be.
Excerpt: i bought one of these when they first came out early 2006 to replace my knackered Sony cassette Player at the time this was the only Sony car radio i could find that had the Sony CD changer Controls and an input for the Sony Steering wheel remote i already had fitted to my car the other big bonus...
Pros: Low Cost Sub Out/Pre Out CD changer controls
Cons: audio quality not always great struggled to play mp3
