Summary: I needed a new faceplate for my work van due to a loose aux input which prevented using my ipod. I had been searching for a replacement for awhile but no results. It is a 5 year old model by Sony. Amazon sent me an email with the Sony GTX200 that was available for a great price, so I jumped on it.
Summary: I am fairly discerning music listener though by no means am I a car audiophile. I also tend to avoid Sony products as I find that the company is unable to offer any degree of consistent quality.
Summary: For some reason, this was the only CD player that my insurance company would cover after the CD player (which was a Pioneer) was stolen from my car. To be honest, the performance is awful. The songs sound muddy. There are separation problems, not only within frequency group, but between them.
Summary: I have wanted a nice stereo for a while, I did some shopping around and comparing. I found that for the money, Sony Xplod setups are nice and sweet. I have this stereo in my car, followed by a Xplod 500w 4/3 amp, and I push two 12" bazooka subs hard.
I like this Player quite a bit, fits Subaru Forester

Summary: Despite the fact that Sony has snuck the RootKit digital-rights virus into it's commercial CD's, I swallowed hard, purchased and installed this Sony CD Player in my '98 Subaru Forester a few weeks ago, mostly because it was one of the few that has an external input on the front for an Ipod or other...
Terrible Sound...everything you hear about Sony Car Audio is true...

Summary: I purchased this Car Player for two reasons: 1)I have a Sony VAIO and a 2) Sony 60" LCD Projection TV. I guess a 3rd reason would be that I mistakenly thought Sony made everything well. I was very, very, very wrong, however, in that assumption.
Excerpt: When I was looking for a new cd player to put in my first car, I was looking for something relatively cheap, but that played mp3 cds and sounded good. Looking good was also pretty important, and in fact one of the things that made me choose the GT200 was its quite understated appearance.
Pros: Plays a wide range of discs - including CD R & RW - & filetypes
Cons: Poor radio function, poor installation guide
