face plate covered cut out..Radio/CD player work great
18 October 2012
Summary: I love this old school Radio/CD player! I was concerned that the slide track might break after using it a lot, but so far so good. I replaced 2 other radios cause the CD portion eventually gave out. Yes, i'm still into CDS. Collections too big to shelve.
Summary: I bought this for a gift. The friend had it professionally installed. It worked great for a few months then stopped working. One mechanic checked it out but couldn't figure out the problem. It looks good. Wished it worked.
Summary: Anything Pyle is going to be cheap and very low quality! Spend extra 20 bucks for something decent that will last you more than a month. Pyle Stereos skip CDs, static, low quality sound. This stereo lasted about 3 months! Then just fell apart. Never again another Pyle product!
Summary: -The cd player took forever to read cds, especially if they were CD-R/CD-RW. -The player skipped at nearly every bump on the road. -The EQs suck. -The buttons stopped working within a year. -The radio would never come in clear. Don't waste your money.
Summary: I got this cause it was affordable and looked nice too. I was happy that I was lucky enough to have it SOUND good once I got it installed. The wires were left long for extra play in installation and it was pretty strait forward to hook up with the help of the instructions.
Summary: WOW!! I just replaced my stock stereo with this and what a difference it makes! It's really cool looking and has a lot of settings for me to tweak it to the sound that I like. It wasn't hard at all to install and has just made my dash look so much nicer.
Summary: Installation -- Did it myself. Bought the wire connectors at Lowes. Matched up the wire colors from the radio to what was in my car and crimped each one. I used the existing casing instead of trying to put in the one that came with the radio.
