Summary: i have now owned this unit now 4 years. It has been awesome. It is in a 1989 full size Bronco and never failed. Yes the wheel could be better. I think the SD slot should be more accessible rather than having to remove the face every time you want another card. Also works best with 2 GB cards. For the average person with a small music library is not much of a problem, but i have a massive library.
Great product if you like minimal buttons; high quality.

Summary: If you like minimal buttons and are okay with using basically the wheel button for everything you'll probably really like the Pioneer MVH-P8200 USB/MP3. If not, this unit isn't for you. As far as the functions and sound.. it's just awesome. I keep a SD card with "essential music" and photos for when i dont attach my iPod. Really nice screen and the overall quality seems high.
Summary: I got this as a gift for my 1998 Porsche Boxster that I bought a few months ago. I wanted a new receiver primarily so that I could play my iPod in the car, as there was no tape player for an adapter, and I HATE the iPod players that go through the radio. I also wanted something that looked clean and didn't stand out too much as an obvious aftermarket radio in the car, and one that would be able to change colors to match my dash.
I have suggested this head unit to several friends.

Summary: This is a great receiver! It has just enough bells and whistles on it to make the user feel in control yet, it's not over-powering with too many menus to make you feel like there's a prep list for a lunar launch to listen to a mp3.
Look for sellers that sells unit less than $250. Value would suffice if.

Summary: Because of the many functions this unit have I gave it a 4. Now as far as ease of use it did not stand to receive a 5. Having to press the Home and the M/C button would surely wear in time causing you to have to purchase something else. I would have liked to work all functions from the remote, but the remote is limited.
Summary: So I bought this deck in all honesty for looks. I wanted to adjust button color and I wanted something win a big face because Audi b5A4's have a big slot which leaves a gap with a standard deck. Plus the SD feature was attractive. My old deck was a Pioneer DEH3100ub which I also loved. Share very similar features, the 8200 is easier to browse artists via deck but there is no option to control from the iPod itself.
