Summary: I had a Jensen installed in my truck for about a year. It was pretty much similar to this JVC unit, except with a CD player. The main reason I replaced it was the Very Bright Blue display light, which could not be dimmed. Very annoying during night driving.
Summary: Works perfectly and looks nice. But I do wish I spent the extra for the Bluetooth. I'll never buy another head unit without bluetooth again. The color options are nice and the controls are easy to use. My favorite feature is that there is a "night-mode".
Summary: I'm very pleased with my purchase! Graphics display can be changed to the color scheme of the vehicle! Set up was really easy, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality music source at a fair price!
Solid head unit. Will buy another. Still room for improvement.

Summary: Having been traveling a lot recently and growing to love the USB/Aux input on all the Hyundai/Kia rental cars I'd been driving, I decided it was time to ditch CDs, tape adapters, and FM transmitters. It was time to get a mech-less head unit for my car.
Summary: If you are looking for a great radio with the basic Ipod or any usb mp3 device and not wanting to deal with cds then this is the product for you!!!! I have one set of pioneer 3 ways in the front and a set of 4 ways in the back and a four channel amp that powers them beautifully!!!
Summary: I bought the JVC KD-X40 as a replacement for the OEM CD-player that came in my Winnebago motorhome. Going on-the-road, I'm giving up on my oversized CD collection and have no room (or a quality listening space) for the real estate CDs require.
