Summary: Until I bought this unit. I decided to try the HD radio, without having to buy a separate unit. This receiver works great. It is really nice, with a dot matrix display. Unfortunately the display is difficult to read in direct sunlight. Fortunately that is the only flaw I can find on this unit.
Summary: I love the feature set on this thing. I bought it for the HD radio. Here in LA there are tons of HD radio stations and it makes radio totally listenable again. The ability to play MP3 CDs drops the clutter in the car immensely. An aux jack is great, I play mp3s off my phone on it.
Summary: The JVC KD-HDR30 was a Christmas present from my wife to replace the burned out factory unit in a 1993 F150 truck. It was exactly what I wanted, with HD, CD (MP3 & WMA), decent controls, and sound that filled the cab perfectly.
Summary: I bought this unit as a refurb due to the price point and the seller being local to me. It is replacing the factory system in my 2000 Mercury Villager. Pros: -Excellent sound improvement, even with the factory speakers. -HD radio reception and number of stations (Seattle/Tacoma area) is impressive.
Summary: Works great easy to install. Love the remote and I got the Ipod adaptor and Bluetooth adaptor too. The only thing it does not have is a way to remember songs that are playing. Newer model all have this feture. This one does not. However this system is great and easy to use. I am very happy.
Summary: I have JVC radios in my 3 cars. I really like their layout, displays and features, the buttons are not too small, they are large enough that they work for us, and you can turn the clock off if you want - our Corolla has a separate clock display, so we don't need it on the radio.
Summary: I bought this to replace a crappy unit I got at Target (VR3 Roadmaster). I wanted the HD and Aux in and this unit was a name brand and it was inexpensive. I have had no problems it and love the HD radio. I doubled the number of radio stations I can listen too.
Summary: Pros: Does everything well. Cons: 1. Garish - bright silver chromed plastic beams out from sickeningly festive red and blue lights around the main controls. i took off the plastic volume knob, removed the black rubber band around the knob, then sanded the chrome finish off the knob and spray painted...
Summary: I've been shopping around for a new CD player for about 3 years, but waited until I traded in my car for a newer one. I replaced the factory CD player in my 2004 Civic with this one and I love it.
Summary: The unit sounds great and I was very pleased and happy until it ate my CD. The loading mechanism failed and scratched my CD in couple of places rendering it a coaster. I had to uninstall it out of my car to bring it to the Service Center. Not sure if all this hassle was worth the cheap price.
