great stereo for cheap

craig in texas, Amazon
11 December 2011
  • Summary: Sound is loud and pretty good. The preset sound settings and "loudness" mode help with the sound on some of my mp3s. I love being able to load up mp3s on a spare flash drive for driving music. The tracks can be navigated by folder and track within folder (it only displays numbers- i.e. F02 T10- not text from the file or folder names) Line-in audio also works well from my phone. Here is the only bad thing about it: it does not resume mp3 playing.

Good bang for the buck but no one will confuse this for an expensive stereo

  • Summary: I've had this radio installed in my 1993 Chevy pickup truck for about 6 months. It is not a high end car stereo, but it is an excellent buy if you need the features this unit offers. Good AM/FM reception, there is no CD player in this unit, which makes this unit not as deep as a normal car stereo and allows for installations where other car stereos won't fit.

  • Summary: i repaced my 97' f-150 factory unit with the xr4110 because of its digital capabilities and didn't want anything fancy, well nothing fancy about this unit. it's as plain as they get but functions well, i've used the usb port and it works well, i have yet to use the sd slot. i suppose it will work equally well, the tuner has excellant reception.

Great basic player.

  • Summary: It is a basic unit with limited frills, but what it does, it does well. It does exactly what I need. The only problem I have noticed is a poor randomizing algorithm for song shuffling on the SD card.

It's good but could be better

  • Summary: Bought an old Mercedes without a radio in it so I ordered this one. A good call, I would do it again. Let me say though, I'm not too thrilled about the product - but for less then $40 I don't need to be. Quality: Looks and feels like one of these non-working cellphone displays at Radio Shack... only difference is, it's working. Once installed the low-quality feel is not that bad anymore, but the buttons feel cheap.

Good and Simple

JasonT, Amazon

  • Summary: I purchased this stereo because I wanted to do away with a CD player. The installation of this stereo was easy. I do have some things I wish it had. 1. A clock - The front screen is a good size so a clock present when you are not changing channels would be very nice 2. A dim switch - The front screen is blue and at night is bright. I wish there was a switch or a dial to turn down the brightness. 3.

Good for the Money

Brett Hetherington, Amazon

  • Summary: This is not a top-of-the-line receiver. But that is not a bad thing. I have had this installed in my car for about 2 weeks now, and I have no real complaints at all. The interface allows me to broadcast my iPod clearly (and without that annoying hum that FM transmitters have). The layout of the controls is pretty simple, and I did not need a manual to figure out how to operate any of it. The installation was simple, all I needed to purchase was couplers.

Great Little Radio

Beamer, Amazon

  • Summary: The radio came packaged very well and had no damage. Install was a breeze and the compact size fit great in my Jeep console. The sound is very good and the unit seems to take jolts from my lifted Jeep with no problems. For the price I think this is a great radio!

Nice player

Richard, Amazon
29 August 2011
  • Summary: I bought this player because I want to be able to use an SD card as well as connect my MP3 player. This unit does both and includes a radio - all for $37 - a bargain. Yes, it is true that it mine does not hold the presets. But, considering that it plays SD and has an aux input is OK by me. The advertised unit indicates that it will not work on a Volkswagen Beetle. This is wrong. My player installed easily on my 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle.
