Summary: I installed this unit in my 2010 F-150 XLT without the 4" lcd display. The listing shows it will not fit, however it does fit with plenty of room behind for wiring. Radio and Bluetooth worked fine, I couldnt get the device to play music saved on my phone via USB. Phone calls were nice and clear and you can adjust the input level of your voice to the other end. The interface is a bit generic and the menu is a bit difficult to navigate.
Pros: Solid sound, good eq customization Physically looks great, nice screen size Call quality and use excellent Bluetooth works well.
Cons: Interface a bit behind. Music via USB didn't work for me. Lack of Manufacturer future support No remote comes with this unit. If you have a phone that was new last 2.5 years, forget mirrorlink
Summary: I bought this unit to go in my 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe. It looks fantastic and it sounds incredible. Works equally great through bluetooth or usb. Very easy to install with included accessories from Crutchfield. It's really cool to watch videos from your ipod/iphone on this thing. I use it with my Samsung Galaxy S4. The graphics and ease of moving in and out of apps is what make it allot of fun to use.
Pros: delivers as advertised
Cons: a bit pricey for not having built in Navigation but the Alpine build quality probably deserves it's value
Summary: Bought the Alpine ICS-X7HD for my 93 Toyota MR2; needing an upgrade really bad, and wanting something different from the typical CD/DVD unit.
Pros: Nice 7" screen; Bluetooth for hands free calling and audio streaming; Mechless...who needs cd/dvds stacked up in the car!;HD Radio, Plays DIVX format, transfer those dvds to DIVX and save them on a USB drive. MirrorLink is adequate using Samsung's Drive Link with my Galaxy Note II.
Cons: Touchscreen is slow to respond as well for turning off the unit.
Summary: I bought this under the assumption that it included a CD/DVD player; I almost returned it, but after realizing that I have not used a CD in a car for years, that it included the largest screen size in the Alpine lineup, and that it came with a universal AVI input, I decided to try it out. I'm happy I did. Like some other reviews on here, I think Alpine's ICS line has potential, but seems half-baked.
Pros: Sound, Bluetooth, AVI input (resisting urge to hook up Playstation!)
Cons: Subtle screen freezing due to menu graphics; funky home screen logic
Summary: Kinda bummed that it wont let you add apps to use in drivelink. I can add apps to drivelink when the phones not connected to the stereo but once connected the apps disappear.
Pros: When using the Pandora app on the unit there are no ads
Cons: I was under the impression "mirrorlink" was going to mirror my phone but it doesn't, you can use google navigation, play music from the phone, and make phone calls. You should be able to use any app you want when the car is parked, but you can't. drivlink\mirrorlink need some work done.
