Summary: Seems like a great deck for Apple compatibility buy not for Android. Before purchased, i communicated with one Crutchfield's pros and my questions was specifically, is it compatible with a Galaxy S5 and the answer was Yes. After receiving and installing, many of the features do not work.
Pros: Great screen display and sound quality Fits well in my Tacoma with kit Bluetooth connectivity is pretty good Connect to phone quickly
Cons: Touch screen function very sluggish and slow in responding Moving around in software is poor, back button isn't responsive Does Not mirror my Samsung S5. Should of gotten CD unit.
Summary: I bought this unit to go in my 2013 Nissan Altima Coupe. It looks fantastic and it sounds incredible. Works equally great through bluetooth or usb. Very easy to install with included accessories from Crutchfield. It's really cool to watch videos from your ipod/iphone on this thing.
Pros: delivers as advertised
Cons: a bit pricey for not having built in Navigation but the Alpine build quality probably deserves it's value
Summary: This needs to be removed from the description >> MirrorLinkT for in-dash control of select smartphones It does not work with and LG G4. The head unit displays an error indicating and incompatibility with the phone. Is there a firmware upgrade that is available for the head unit ?
Pros: Quality build, works great with and iPod
Cons: MirrorLink is a sad disappointment, a lot of people who went out of there way to purchase this head unit for this capability are left stranded with an unworkable solution.
Summary: This doesn't work!!! I even bought the Samsung S6 Edge that has a built in app for the MirrorLink but when I plugged it in, it says the USB is not compatible and the MirrorLink icon isn't even compatible. First, Crutchfield needs to let people know the limitations of this garbage unit.
Pros: No pros! thank you for the opportunity of having me post my review.
Cons: Everything about this unit including the company that sold it and made it.
Pros: The sound is great and it is very easy to use.
Cons: The only problem is that you have to hook it up to the foot brake and the parking brake to install it. Also, in order to use the setup function, you have to push the brakes several times or it will not work. It doesn't always show the whole name of the song if it's too long.
Summary: I wanted to love this product, but I bought it mostly for the mirror link feature and the ability to use my phone for navigation and the primary music source. Unfortunately, my phone, even though the mirror link site says is compatible with the technology, is not compatible with this unit.
Pros: Lots of audio control, great display
Cons: Major Con- Mirror Link is a technology abandoned by Alpine
Summary: Replaced my factory headunit with this piece... huge improvement in sound. Was very easy to set up, even being my first time doing a headunit install. The unit is easy to use and the touch screen is definitely good quality and responsive.
Pros: Great Sound, Easy to Setup, All the Connections and Outputs You Could Need, Looks Sharp
Cons: User Interface isn't perfect (but you can't really expect it to be)
