Conclusion: Great stock replacement speaker. Great sound and can get loud as heck on the head unit. Not recommended for those looking to boom. I have an RF P3D412 for that so I set my head units bass to 0 to prevent distortion at high volume. I have not amplified these speakers but do plan to do so.
Conclusion: I bought these as a replacement for my blown stock speakers. I've had them about 6 months and sound quality is really starting to diminish. The mids sounded bad from day one, in fact have my stereo set to -4 bass just so they don't get that distortion. Ok to replace blown factory's, but by no means an upgrade.
Conclusion: I had the R1682 speakers as rear speakers for the last few years of the vehicle and got these for the front. I am extremely pleased with these. Once the speakers have broken in, the lows are noticeable and these crave for more power. Mids and Hi's are exceptional. These stand out from the Pioneers I had in the past.
Summary: The speakers sound just normal. They do sound better than the stock speakers that came with the car. I don't have them hooked up to an amp at the moment. I will write another review after I get them hooked to the amp.
