Conclusion: I love the sound and quality of these speakers but when it came to installing them, the mounting bracket and holes are too small for the opening in the door, so I had to make modifications using the old speakers, just made things seem mickey mouse but wouldn't have worked without it..
Summary: Bought these since they were on sale to replace the old & crusty front speakers in my volvo. I was very impressed with the built in crossover and how easy it was to mount up the tweeters to my door panel. The sound is amazing, clear and crisp with decent bass.

Pros: ehh new I guess
Cons: Tweeters are weak, speaker have no bass whatsoever.
Summary: Install in the wifes 2010 Mazda 3 wagon...Huge improvement over stock which had buzzing in driver's side at moderate volumne. Pros: good price for a good set of speakers
Cons: must be willing to modify for tweeters mounting buy some door panel retainers as a few will break

Conclusion: I'd highly recommend these for anyone running straight off an aftermarket head unit or as factory replacements on a stock unit. I have an OLD Alpine head unit that's 60x4 and it pushes these just fine. Very crisp, clean tweeters that are natural sounding and not too "tinny".
