Excellent speaker quality build exceptional sound

mrfivepointo, Ebay

  • Summary: I've had these speakers on 2 boats now. For the price "in my opinion" they are the best sounding speaker available. On my current boat I replaced Sony's with these and the difference was staggering. Nice mid bass and excellent highs. Don't expect to set the world on fire they are an excellent speaker but you won't get and pounding in your chest from them.

  • Summary: Love Polk Audio. The specs on these are awesome. They are great when used with an aftermarket radio or an amplifier in between. Clean and clear sound. Easy to tune.

Great replacement in our RV

MontanaRVer, Beach Audio

  • Excerpt: RVs come with low end audio equipment, period. I have had to upgrade speakers in both of the models I've owned. I read about these on an RV Forum, the person stated that they fit right in, sounded much better and were well built for the price.<br />Due to the +/- connectors tabs being of different size though, I had to cut off the blades from the existing wiring and solder the wires to these speakers.
  • Pros: Great Sound, Quality Build
  • Cons: Connectors

  • Summary: Speakers sound great, but do not align up with Harley Davidson Crutchfield mounting brackets. I had to grind outer part of speaker. Tech support had no solution.
  • Pros: Good speaker
  • Cons: Does not fit Harley mounting bracket for 2013 Harley Street glide

Sound Great!!

  • Summary: Installed in a 2000 Harley Electra Glide. Wanted to upgrade speakers because it still had the stock ones, with those I had to turn the bass all the way down and just not good overall sound quality anymore... After installing these I turned up the bass and was really impressed with the sound!! Haven't hit the expressway yet but I can tell I will be able to hear the radio much better now! And they are marine rated so I don't have to worry about rain or washing my bike...
  • Pros: Sound great, priced well, easy to install!
  • Cons: No complaints...

Awesome

John, Crutchfield
23 March 2014
  • Summary: The Polk db651s speakers are truly awesome. I replaced the stock speakers on a 2013 Honda Fit Base. The standard OEM speakers are an absolute joke. They are made out of plastic with a tiny magnet. The Polks simply blow the OEM speakers out of the water and sound good by any measure. Many have commented on their lack of base. I'm not a "power listener" by any means, so perhaps for the aficionados out there the bass may be found wanting.
  • Pros: Great highs and mids. I find the bass just fine - tight and punchy - for the way I listen to music and for the type of music I like to listen to,
  • Cons: None really for me.

awesome

  • Summary: Got these for my 2006 Tundra DC. They sound awesome compared to stock. They are powered by a Pioneer 25w RMS head unit. The rear install was a breeze, the front was a different story. I would up ripping out the stock front speakers from the plastic mold they were in and installing these in their place. All in all it was pretty easy to do. I cant complain about these speakers one bit.
  • Pros: Great sound Easy install Quality for the price Decent bass
