Excerpt: RVs come with low end audio equipment, period. I have had to upgrade speakers in both of the models I've owned. I read about these on an RV Forum, the person stated that they fit right in, sounded much better and were well built for the price.<br />Due to the +/- connectors tabs being of different size though, I had to cut off the blades from the existing wiring and solder the wires to these speakers.
Summary: I installed these to replace some old JBL GTO speakers I have had for some time, which I used to replace my factories when they pop with my new head unit in my 02 Wrangler, and they did not disappoint. Very clear and crisp highs and mids. Bass response however is only fair to midland, I would like to hear a little more boom from them. That said, for what it is, it sounds really good as all Polk speakers should. The only real complaint I have is cosmetic.
Pros: Clean look. Excellent packaging, plenty of hardware to assist in your install. Very clear and loud sound.
Cons: Not a lot of boom maybe after they break in it will get better, Plastic rings should a better mounting system.
Summary: I think the speakers have a nice balance for highs and mid range. They are lacking bass response and need a subwoofer to support them. Amplification will help produce a clearer fuller sound out of these speakers.
Pros: Nice highs and mid-range Fit many vehicles with limited space
Cons: Lacking bass response A decent amount of power is required to produce a full sound
