good speakers

James from spring field, TN, Sonic Electronix
12 April 2015
  • Conclusion: Good speakers, kit contains a conversion ring which is nice. Sound is very clear up to about 1/2 of my radio's volume then distorts. This is because I do not have an amp and not the fault of the speakers at all.

Same great Polk Quality.

Randall from Hammond, LA, Sonic Electronix
28 March 2015
  • Conclusion: Just installed four of these in my 2000 Silverado. Two each per door in a fiberglass speaker pod I made using the OEM mesh speaker grill. They weren't very impressive just on the radio but It also didn't feed them any reasonable amount of power for two per channel.

  • Conclusion: When the box came in it was kind of torn up, it had me worried. But I hooked them up and they work fine and sound great.

Amazing if you have subs

Brandon from Monroe, GA, Sonic Electronix
17 December 2014
  • Conclusion: A combination of these door speakers, Polk Audio 6'9" in the rear deck, and 2 15" MTX subs in the trunk sounds absolutly amazing. These speakers have a very very loud high end. Like if a high pitch sound plays, you risk a chance of busting your ear drums!!

Great marine grade speakers!

Glenn from Clayton, NC, Sonic Electronix
14 December 2014
  • Conclusion: Great highs and lows even without an amp. Used in a Jeep soundbar where they have to compete with open air flow. Easy install and noticeably improved sound. No more worries with rain!

Polk db651s

Donnie from T-town, MS, Sonic Electronix
21 November 2014
  • Conclusion: I put these in my work van and it souds like I am in a different vehicle. The sound is much better than stock speakers, and that is running the Polks with the factory radio. I'm glad I bought the shallow mounts, because the tweeter on the regular db651 speakers would have not fit behind the factory...
