  • Conclusion: Highly recommend these speakers. Have them hooked up to 200 watt amp. Bass and highs come in crisp and clean. Very happy with my Polk speakers.

Great set of components for the price

Matt from North Las Vegas, NV, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: Even with the horrible base stock stereo in my jeep, these speakers made a dramatic leap in sound quality. Then upgrading my head unit to a jvc and adding an Alpine amp (KTP-445U), these components sound great. I have had some very nice sounding systems in previous cars.

Performance is amazing with these DB6501 speakers

ambrosecheng0129, Ebay

  • Summary: This pair of DB6501 replaced the rear stock speakers for my 2011 xB. With Kickers SS654 at front as the mid bass driver, overall performance is great. Component speakers with the crossovers can definitely improve sound in details. These speakers have adequate bass.

Great quality, great sound, just a great product!!!

  • Summary: Bought these speakers for an entire upgrade to my 05 Chevy extended cab Z71. Pushing them w/ 2 channels from a Kenwood X700x5 and they are simply amazing. Don't let the size fool you. They rock and have way more thump than you think. Quality and sound is A+ and just what I was looking for.

What a difference!

Steve, Crutchfield
21 March 2014
  • Summary: I really like these speakers! I didn't find them too bright for the music I listen to (rock, blues, country and some classical). The bass is slightly lacking, but not overly so, in my opinion. I have a Kenwood Excelon head unit with lots of adjust ability but no external amp or subs (for now).
  • Pros: Huge improvement over stock speakers, exactly what I was looking for.
  • Cons: Slightly light in the bass, but still pretty good

Awesome

MK4 Rollin, Crutchfield

  • Summary: Great sounding speakers at a really reasonable price. Definitely will not disappoint so you can't make a bad decision with these. Does a great job at separating sound which factory speakers do an aweful job at. Overall great system.
  • Pros: Amazing treble. Bass kicks well.
  • Cons: None.

  • Summary: I found the Polk speakers to be of excellent quality. The speakers were competitively priced. I was unaware of what I was missing from the tweeters until these were installed. The bass is also a noticeable improvement. The 2-way speakers were very easy to install.
  • Pros: Awesome Sound, Excellent Quality/Craftsmanship, CRUTCHFIELD SUPPORT!!!!!!
  • Cons: Nothing so far.
