  • Summary: works great very clear 100% better and louder then oem. remember these ask for 40watt rms consent power too so buy a mini amp for them. aftermarket stereos only gives about 20rms. factory stereo are 15rms.

Still tuning, but here's my opinion so far

Hdavis, Crutchfield
14 August 2013
  • Summary: They're okay speakers for the money - while they lasted. However, the plastic ring around the rim of the body of the actual speaker has a knack of coming off and rattling. EXTREMELY annoying. My first set I had replaced free of charge through here, and I was warned not to push it too hard for the first few weeks of use. Okay, fair enough. I followed that advice, but the plastic rings still came off after 2 weeks of light use and 3 weeks of medium - heavy use.
  • Pros: They sound good when they're not vibrating themselves apart
  • Cons: They tend to vibrate themselves apart.

Good speakers

Slevin10, Crutchfield
5 August 2013
  • Summary: Bought these to replace the 13 year old stock in my f-150. Not quite as good of speaker as the pioneer 3-way I put in the front door over a year ago, but they sound a thousand times better than the stock.
  • Pros: Easy to install, sound good powered by just the head unit
  • Cons: Not as loud as I would like

Big Improvement

JoeC, Crutchfield
3 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought these speakers to replace the stock speakers in my 2005 Lincoln LS. I had managed to blow out a couple of them. The car has 12 speakers and I started with two of these for the front doors. Shipping was real fast. I received the speakers 3 days after ordering them. They were packed very well and arrived in perfect condition. They fit perfectly in my car and the speaker wire adapter supplied by Crutchfield made the wire connections real easy.
  • Pros: Price was right, Fast shipping, Perfect fit, Good instructions, Good sound
  • Cons: None at this point. I am happy with my purchase

Great Speakers

Steve, Crutchfield
15 July 2013
  • Summary: These are great speakers paired with the JVC head unit Crutchfield recommended. After reading other reviews I almost didn't buy them because others said the bass was weak. After installing them I was blown away, tons of bass.
  • Pros: Great speaker for the money!!!
  • Cons: none

10x better than stock speakers

Fred A, Crutchfield
11 July 2013
  • Summary: For the price they are great. For now they are paired with my stock head unit and rear speakers so whenever I turn the volume to full blast they distort. Surly this is the head-units fault because it is rated at 7 watts max per channel. Anyways the bass is good, much better than I expected. I will buy a head-unit from pioneer soon because of the speakers quality.
  • Pros: Bass, value
  • Cons: distortion
