Summary: Pioneers top of the line 6x9 speaker..I have included these throughout my vehicle with other pioneer premier speakers of the same quality and series...my whole car stereo system is pioneer premier and together they produce uncompromising sound clarity and performance...from metal to classic rock I am amazed at how loud and clear these speakers are(as well as everyone around me).
Summary: Great speaker at an amazing price. Crystal clear highs great mids with a touch of low end bass. Running these full range with a 75watt RMS amplifier and they take it and more. Would recommend these to anyone looking for a great midbass speaker.
Summary: These are the 6x9s you want...Yes they cost a little more than the average pioneer 6x9s but the sound is AWESOME !!! Wonderful base combined with crisp high notes make these a set you'll be happy with long after the money is spent...I'm never going back after this set !!!
Summary: These speakers sound pretty good in the rear doors of my dodge ram 2010. I have 80 watts of precision power running to them, and they serve the purpose of rear fill very well. They actually put out a nice amount of bass and sound good for a 6x9. I have Boston Acoustics pro 60 se's up front in the doors, and they do not compare to the clarity of them.
Conclusion: I had 8 of these in a 92 civic and it was clear and loud. These things produce loud, clear and very crisp sound when amped. I did not have any subwoofers in the car and my friends couldnt beleave that there wasnt 2-10" subs in the car!
Summary: I have always had faith in Pioneer products and so I decided, with my limited 6x9 options, to purchase these. Well, they fit my 03 Ram 1500 perfectly and sounded fantastic until about one month later, when the capacitor located on the outside of the speaker housing decided to melt and pop. I am convinced that it wasn't abuse because I do not listen to my music at an ear piercing level nor was it hooked up to an aftermarket amp. It just plain old was a lemon I suppose.
Conclusion: I design professional audio equipment for a living. When I was looking for a set of 6" x 9" speakers for my hot rod, I wanted good sound, but not a lot of sales hype. Most of the speakers around are 3, 4 and 5 way deisigns. That sounds great for marketing, but who needs 3 tweeters? These Pioneer TS-D6902R's are just simple 2-ways. I installed them, and I am super happy with the results. Great overall sound, good bass and highs.
