Great sound, low prices

J Mack, Sonic Electronix
6 November 2015
  • Conclusion: I've run 4 of these 6x9's and 2 of the Pioneer TS- D6802R 6x8's in the doors along with two 12's in the trunk. The 6x9's deliver the most superb sound I've heard. In a nutshell, these speakers are unsurpassed by all!!!!

The Greatest 6x9's

MOSFET67, Crutchfield
21 April 2015
  • Summary: They are quite simply the best coaxial speakers I have ever heard, period. I have been involved with car audio for 30 years, having competed and judged IASCA shows through the 90's, and later working for Phoenix Gold in mktg./pr. These are truly in a class by themselves.
  • Pros: Amazing imaging, besting componet sets costing Many Times More (using Sheffield Labs IASCA evaluation CD), a Serious Slice of low bass (like a good 8" subwoofer), can handle over 100 watts RMS without breaking a sweat (I am currently feeding them that much but they can take Much More)
  • Cons: Absolutely None. OK, they don't look very flashy (but it's the ugly ones that sound amazing; crappy ones hide their shortcommings with bright colored cones, oversized but unessary baskets, and other useless gimicks

Best sounding 6x9

16 March 2015
  • Conclusion: Short and simple. Highs are clean, Mids are not over powering and bass is more than most other 6 x 9's.

pretty darn good

Tim, Sonic Electronix
13 February 2015
  • Conclusion: These speakers sound pretty good. The bass is excellent. The highs are pretty good but the midrange is practically non existent. They match well however with my 6.5 components up front. I wouldn't reccomend them if they were the only speakers in the system however.

I'm happy

Anonymous, Crutchfield
12 November 2014
  • Summary: I have no complaints about these 6x9s. I've had them for about 6 months now and they kick hard. I have a pioneer head unit running power to them and that's it. The sound is crisp and clear; I play my music loud enough where you need to yell to the person next to you.
  • Pros: loud Clean sound Decent bass Good mid
  • Cons: none

No sub needed for me with these speakers

Vinny, Sonic Electronix
20 October 2014
  • Conclusion: Running these amped with 75watts rms X4 with a Pioneer DEH-80PRS and Pioneer TS-D1720C fronts. Crystal clear sound and plenty of base for me when the head unit is tuned properly. With this set up I hit ear bleed levels at 38 out of 62 on the volume.

Great product for a great price

Scott, Sonic Electronix
13 September 2014
  • Conclusion: I bought these along with 2 pairs of the Ts D1602R's for my 2014 Toyota 4runner hooked up to an Audio Control Lc7i, Alpine PDX-5 and an Alpine type R 10" sub in a ported box. The Pioneer's are a great factory replacement, loud and clear.
