Summary: Installed in a 2007 Chevy Silverado after blowing the driver door factory speaker (common among Silvys). Very clear sound on the mids and highs, much brighter than the factory speaks. Low end/bass could use a boost, its there but not as pronounced as factory speakers.
Pros: Bright, cleare mids/highs. Bonus install gear (wire leads/brackets). Super easy to install in my ride (1 hour start to finish). Free 2 day shipping from Crutchfield.
Cons: Bass/low end not at loud/pronounced as the factory original speaker, but I knew that going in.
Excerpt: Our 2015 Arctic Fox Camper came with Chinese junk speakers, but it did come with a good Kenwood Radio. I love Pioneer Speakers and Radios Never any troubles. The amp is only putting 22watts x 4 and these speakers are 60watt - 260 peak watts, They sound very good.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Install, Good Power Output, Great Sound, Versatile
Conclusion: OK, first off I've been building systems and working and PLAYING in this industry for 25 years (I worked at Phoenix Gold and even Best Buy during X-mas). I competed in IASCA in the 90's and did very well. I have heard them all, and tried them all.
Summary: I was looking for some 6.5" speakers for my Fiesta ST and came across with the Pioneer TS-D1602R locally in my area. Your site said it would not fit my car. However, the price was less than half your advertised price so I went on a whim and decided to try them.
Conclusion: high quality 2 way full range speakers. fits perfectly in a 97 wrangler roll bar. use caution not to let terminal short in the cutout. these worked great with kenwood kdc-x998.even better with a 50 rms watt 4ch amp. to me these sound a lot better than the kicker 40cs654 6 1/2in.
