Sound great and worth the money!

klpi2010, Ebay
6 September 2012
  • Summary: This is a great looking and sounding set of speakers. Custom mounted/installed in the cargo area of a 2000 Dodge Durango. I was originally planning to run them off the Pioneer Head Unit but decided to run them off the amp and split the wattage with the rear. Brings the cargo area to life when I open the liftgate now. Sound great and worth the money!

Good product, great value for money.

  • Summary: Pretty decent speaker for the price, but a little underpowered compared to some of the other speakers I've used in the the same size. Would definitely recommend these for anyone on a budget that wants crisp clean sound at a steal.

Sound good

JeffR, Crutchfield

  • Summary: Paired these with the Pioneer TS-A1305C and Pioneer receiver. Good overall sound. Of course could use a sub but fine without. Fit in rear of my 2000 Silverado 1500 but needed more hardware than came with adapters.
  • Cons: needs better adapters

Great little speaker

  • Conclusion: Installed in my Porsche 996 cabrio as a replacement for the factory Nokias. Build quality and sound are excellent for a speaker at this price. I chose these over the Focals because of their install depth. I wish the speaker basket was made of glass reinforced plastic but the metal basket is fine.

Great Speakers

  • Conclusion: I am very pleased with these speakers. Also bought a pair of TS 1602R and installed in older Subaru Outback sport with 6-Disc and subwoofer/ amp and can't get them to distort. I would by this series speakers again.

Excellent

  • Conclusion: These are great 4" coaxials. I'm using one as a center channel to compliment my Focal componet set. It holds its own very well. Always clean, clear, and crisp. An excellent value!

Very impressed

CharlieM, Crutchfield

  • Summary: I needed a 4 inch set of speakers for the rear end of my FJ Cruiser. I was expecting these to sound good but not this good. These speakers really helped fill out the sound in the truck and are well worth the money.
  • Pros: Sounder very nice, easy to install.

4" Premier Midrange.

Slick1835 from Miami, FL, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: Used for a custom center channel home speaker cabinet I built. Wired in Series/Parallel with a pair of identical 6 1/2" Pioneer speakers of the same model line of D Series speakers. Wired to 10 ohms it sounds great and is not drowned out by the rest of the system even at maximum volume. My particular application is unorthodox but I would have no problem using these speakers for A-pillars or Quarter panels in a car.

Very good upgrade for my 911

Von Phillips from Middle, TN, Sonic Electronix
7 July 2011
  • Conclusion: Bought two pair of these speakers as upgrades for the factory hi-fi option in my 2001 Porsche 911. While it will take some work to install them due to the odd factory speaker size, they are well worth the work. The vocals and highs are crisp, clear and very natural. And the bass is surprisingly good considering their size. Would definitely recommend these- great sound, great quality and a great price.

Great sound and awesome value

Linus F, Crutchfield
7 April 2011
  • Summary: I installed these in my 2002 Porsche 996 Cabriolet as a direct replacement for the dash and rear factory speakers. I considered the Focal 100CA but the Focals mounted too deep for the rears. The Pioneers are a steal at this price and their performance is terrific.
  • Pros: Price, build, sound
  • Cons: Metal basket vs. glass reinforced plastic.
