Very impressed

  • Summary: I needed a 4 inch set of speakers for the rear end of my FJ Cruiser. I was expecting these to sound good but not this good. These speakers really helped fill out the sound in the truck and are well worth the money.
  • Pros: Sounder very nice, easy to install.

I like them

  • Conclusion: I have them in my 99 grand prix with a 4 channel pioneer amp and they sound really good. The clarity is excellent. I replaced my older pioneer head unit with the deh-x9500bhs and it seems that the clarity went up even more. These are some really nice speakers.

freaking amazing

  • Conclusion: I got theses speakers just 3 days ago and i am amazed by the highs and lows! First of all they are built extremely strong, when i was drilling holes for the speakers the drill slipped onto the speaker and there was not even a scuff! when i first put them in it distorted on the lows (like other reviews have said), but when i adjusted the audio on my head unit it had really good bass. i can feel the rumble on the door panels with NO distortion.

Best 4" coaxials out there

Jundokaijoe from Chino, CA, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: Installed them in a 1988 Toyota pickup truck. There just isn't any easy way to install a full size speaker in this model truck. Only has a place for 4" speakers in the lower dashboard area. There is no enclosure so the bass isn't strong but from the mid-bass up, these speakers are top notch. The midrange is smooth and the highs are super clean. If you are looking for small speakers that sound great, look no further.

Sound great and worth the money!

  • Summary: This is a great looking and sounding set of speakers. Custom mounted/installed in the cargo area of a 2000 Dodge Durango. I was originally planning to run them off the Pioneer Head Unit but decided to run them off the amp and split the wattage with the rear. Brings the cargo area to life when I open the liftgate now. Sound great and worth the money!

Good product, great value for money.

  • Summary: Pretty decent speaker for the price, but a little underpowered compared to some of the other speakers I've used in the the same size. Would definitely recommend these for anyone on a budget that wants crisp clean sound at a steal.

Good Stock Replacement

VAOldGuy, Crutchfield
11 April 2012
  • Summary: Put these speakers in to replace the OEM dash speakers on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon which were starting to sound a little raspy. They are a solid replacement, very easy to install, and as always, the adapters and instructions from Crutchfield were outstanding. If you are looking for a good replacement for the original speakers, these work very well, and are a slight improvement in my mind. They are not going to give you a ton of bass (they are 4" speakers!
  • Pros: Easy to install, sound clarity, cost
  • Cons: Not much bass

Decent for high and mid range

KT, Crutchfield
11 April 2012
  • Summary: I ordered these speakers to replace the 10 year old speakers in my Eurovan. They are clearer and crisper, but the base is lacking. Dialing up base and loudness on the stereo helps some, but the speakers start distorting before the sound becomes satisfying. I ordered a compact subwoofer to fill out the sound. $200 I didn't intend to spend, but should make the listening experience much more satisfying.
  • Pros: crisp, clean sound
  • Cons: lacks base

Great little speaker

Linus Franklin from Hoboken, NJ, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: Installed in my Porsche 996 cabrio as a replacement for the factory Nokias. Build quality and sound are excellent for a speaker at this price. I chose these over the Focals because of their install depth. I wish the speaker basket was made of glass reinforced plastic but the metal basket is fine.
