Pioneer TS-A6972R Car Speaker - Good Bang for the Buck
17 January 2009
Summary: The sound quality is great, especailly for the price of the speakers. There is not much bass in them compared to stock speakers though. I would recommend them if you already have subs in your car or if your factory speakers break and need a replacement.
Summary: I like that the speakers have really clear treble and can be turned up loud but the bass kind of sucks. I have a 2000 impala stock and the stock 6x9's have 5 times more bass, I would recommend these to someone that has subs or doesn't like any bass at all while listening to music. Don't just buy it because it's Pioneer. They do sound good but Pioneer could have done a better job with more bass I think personally.
Summary: I installed a pair of these in the doors of my 92 Dodge full size truck. I modified the cut-outs in the door to a true 6x9 and use a Pioneer deck. These speakers have great bass and sound fantastic all the way around. You could pay more for a set of 6x9's but I don't see why you would want to.
Summary: I put a pair of these in the doors of my 92 Dodge full size truck and they are fantastic. I modified the cut-out in the door to a true 6x9 hole. I am only driving them with an ordinary Pioneer radio (Model: DEHP47DH) and the bass response is great! I do not have one negative thing to say about them. Was kinda surprised to see that they were made in Mexico too.
