Summary: Bought it as a replacement for an older model that finally seized up on me. I needed a very slim sub for a custom fiberglass box I built in the trunk that did not have much depth. Perfect fit, the color matched the interior carpet and it looks factory. Sound quality is great, but it all depends on the amp and the box as well. No issues so far.
Summary: I have two of these in a ported box in my superduty powered by a kenwood x1200m amp with a cap. They hit insanely hard and the sound quality is amazing. I am yet to hear or feel anything close shallow mount or otherwise.
Pros: hit hard and sound quality, they don't make noise, they make bass you feel in the chest
Summary: I've had other shallow depth subs and this one wins hands down. Give them some serious juice and you won't be disappointed. I've had them under the rear seat of a Tundra and Dodge Ram and they make for a wonderful vibramassage seat.
Summary: This is the second subwoofer I have bought in this model and am very happy with it, the quality and bass is absolutely amazing especially for a shallow mount, performs just as good and better than a lot of regular mount subwoofers.
Summary: I was really undecided on which subs I wanted to install in my truck. I did an endless amount of research before purchasing these subs. The Excelon series by Kenwood was rated very high for low profile 12" subs. They have been perfect for the application I had to work with. The Bass is plenty and i have had friends give comments on the tight clean bass the produce.
Conclusion: I put one of these in my girlfriends single cab truck with a jl j2 360.2 amp and it sounded good but lacked the lows, so i got a fosgate 600 by 2 amp. Bridged it to 760 watts and the two of them in separate sealed boxed do very good. im thinking about a larger custom ported box but for now this is deffinately a good amount of bass. It is currently the loudest of anyone in the highschool (our highschool is very small 150 kids +) but still..
