Summary: Was awesome when I was breaking it in and even after for awhile. Started pushing it and had nothing but problems. Not really over powering it but 2 weeks of getting on it and now it rattles like crazy! Thinking it probably burnt a voice coil. Really a shame, this sub sounds really crisp and can hit pretty hard. I am going to try to get it fixed and try again. Pretty disappointed. I had nothing but good things from my other Kenwood stuff.
Pros: Very great on break in and has a very good sound quality.
Cons: Breaks if you even get close to its "RMS" wattage let alone the "Max"
Summary: It was good for the 20 minutes it lasted... Sub sounded real good and then it went. I have 15 years experience with car stereo's and it wasn't covered because I got it off ebay and i didn't have a receipt for professional install. Alpines 10" sub works great though.
Conclusion: I got two of these for a shallow box that i have under the back seat of my 1997 F150 extended cab about 6 months back. Everybody who reviews stuff is always saying crap like "I bought these yesterday and they work great!" Well they better work great because they are brand new. Well i have used these for the full 6 months and they are still working like new, and i have been bumping all the freaking time. They deliver incredible thump for being 10s.
Conclusion: I hooked it up to my rockford fosgate T1000bd1 amp it lasted maybe a week until the cone failed. Yea I know my fault but it did last for being hooked up to a amp that powerful! I also had it hooked up to the kenwood KAC1502S sounded great on that amp too. Now I'm getting cerwin vega VMAX102.
Conclusion: i have had my 2004 nissan frontier for a while and i have had more than three systems in it. I have very very very limited space. At first i had 2 ten inch kenwoods in a regular sized ported box. They sounded amazing but my entire backseat was taken.. this bothered me soo i tried to fit something behind the seat and the only think i could find that would fit was a small 8 inch kicker enclosure that looked like a shoe box... i love spl soo this sucked.

Conclusion: This is a great sub. I ordered it from this website (definitely buy off here again) and it came last night. I hooked it up to a 600 watt amp, and man this thing pounds hard. Highly recommend this. I havent even broken it in yet and its amazing.
Summary: You won't blow off the roof with this sub, but given 150 watts of clean continuous power and you will have a nice sounding sub in your ride. The 400 watts spoken of by somebody else was WAY too much power and if you're going to put these subs into small boxes under the seat, just understand that big bass does not come in small packages. Good bass, Yes. Big thunderous bass, No. These just aren't designed to do that.
Summary: So i had this sub in a .6 cuft sealed box on a RF T-400-2 bridged set at about 35-40% gain. For the first three weeks it was awsome during break-in. Then when enough time had passed, i turned it up but only about 10%, well it blew. The audio shop i use said i did nothing wrong and it should not have blown. Until it blew it sounded great. Now i got a RF shallow mount sub and I am in the process of breaking it in. I was sorry to see it go but thats that.
