Summary: It is common knowledge to not overpower Kenwood subwoofers. I am running this sub in a sealed enclosure and off of 200 watts from two bridged amp channels. Seems to be a perfect match for the sub. It will not knock your socks off with the lowest frequencies but hits very hard on the higher end of the low frequencies to the mids. Buy this sub if you are looking to add that extra punch to your system without breaking the bank or your eardrums.
Summary: I have this mounted in a small enclosure behind my 3rd row seat, 2003 Lincoln Aviator, and it sounds great. Exactly what I was looking for without having to loose my 3rd row seat. Thinking of buying another. I did order this off Amazon but they shipping would have been 1 week past when I was having my stereo installed so I cancelled it and bough from a local shop. If they had in stock and were able to ship in time I would have ordered it from Amazon.
Summary: I needed a relatively shallow sub. I chose this sub after seeing mostly good to great reviews on multiple sites. I have a 2012 Silverado Crew cab. These are under the rear seats. I used a box with 1.60 cu ft airspace total. I am running 2 (10's) off a Hifonics Zues ZRX1200.1D , 2ohms @ 600 wrms single channel; the subs are running parallel. The subs hit really hard and sound great ( I listen to a variety of music..
Summary: The sound the sub produces for being a shallow mount is good. However, the sub does not like cold climates. Inner ring assembly broke off and sounded blown. Had to use super glue to make it sound normal again. Who knows how long it'll last.
Summary: Custom made box + Regular Cab Tacoma + Kenwood 10" shallow sub = Bass Bliss<---> Hitting hard for what it is.....allows my seat all the way back and rumbles me out the cab, Good Sub, Good price cant go wrong kenwood .... only Sub in this price range (90$) I'd consider....
Summary: Leaves a lot to be desired. Built ported box to specs and was unimpressed with the output. Designed two different boxes for it from there, one smaller and one larger and still the sub was not very impressive. Would definitely consider other options!
Summary: I have this hooked up in my single cab truck behind my seat in a sealed box. It's wired to the class D kenwood excelon monoblock amp that is 300 watts rms at 4 ohms and it stomps!! My side mirrors shake and my rearview mirror goes crazy! I have had this in for almost 2 months now without any problems at all.
