Summary: Custom made box + Regular Cab Tacoma + Kenwood 10" shallow sub = Bass Bliss<---> Hitting hard for what it is.....allows my seat all the way back and rumbles me out the cab, Good Sub, Good price cant go wrong kenwood .... only Sub in this price range (90$) I'd consider....
Summary: Leaves a lot to be desired. Built ported box to specs and was unimpressed with the output. Designed two different boxes for it from there, one smaller and one larger and still the sub was not very impressive. Would definitely consider other options!
Summary: I have this hooked up in my single cab truck behind my seat in a sealed box. It's wired to the class D kenwood excelon monoblock amp that is 300 watts rms at 4 ohms and it stomps!! My side mirrors shake and my rearview mirror goes crazy! I have had this in for almost 2 months now without any problems at all.
Summary: I built a custom fiberglass box, using the manufactures specs for my Nissan Altima and I was impressed, after the break in, month or so, I was even more impressed. I value my trunk space, this thing fires from just .75 cu feet box that fits snug in the little pocket on the left side of an 05 Altima. I only had 250 watts of Rockford power running to it and it was more bass than I needed. Nice clean design.
Summary: It was good for the 20 minutes it lasted... Sub sounded real good and then it went. I have 15 years experience with car stereo's and it wasn't covered because I got it off ebay and i didn't have a receipt for professional install. Alpines 10" sub works great though.
Conclusion: I got two of these for a shallow box that i have under the back seat of my 1997 F150 extended cab about 6 months back. Everybody who reviews stuff is always saying crap like "I bought these yesterday and they work great!" Well they better work great because they are brand new. Well i have used these for the full 6 months and they are still working like new, and i have been bumping all the freaking time. They deliver incredible thump for being 10s.
