Summary: I ordered these speakers specifically because the website indicated that they would fit a 2005 Dodge Dakota. This is not the case. First of all the tweeters don't fit. You have to cut out the factory grill and enlarge the hole on the door panel.
Pros: Crutchfield support was easy to use
Cons: Tweeters don't fit
Woofers are not a direct swap
Summary: These speakers sound great and are reasonably easy to install in a 98 altima. However, no directions so for first timers, not so easy. The directions that came with the speakers are completely useless. No explanations, just pictures. The tweeter installation was terrible.
Summary: These speakers sound great. Really good mid-bass response, but has good mids also. The tweeters are excellent, really fills out the frequency band with these component speakers. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get a 2nd set for my door speakers later on down the road in my '99 Dakota club cab.
Pros: Good price ( got them on sale for $97, but I'll certainly pay the full price for them also) Good performance. Sounds awesome.
Summary: I have a 98 Jeep TJ with a sound bar. I drilled a couple of 3/4" holes in the sound bar, and added this set powered by a R/F 400w amp wired to the rear channels. (I mounted the amp inside the passenger side dash glove box). I also got the Kenwood powered sub and put that under the seat.
Pros: Easy install
handles power at high volume
Summary: Installed these speakers in the front doors of my 2010 Colorado ext. cab. OEM speakers included door mounted tweeters. I'm using a Kenwood DPX791BH in-dash receiver to drive them. Crutchfield provided Scosche SAC-656 Speaker Mounting Brackets free with my order.
Pros: Sounds good for rock music. Kenwood included mounting brackets.
Cons: Kenwood installation instructions leave much to be desired.
