Summary: I had never ran jl before and always thought they were overpriced . I happen to be listening to these components one day , I was very impressed with the overall balance and I'm a fan of the silk dome tweeters .
Summary: Sounds great for fronts in my 2012 Kia Forte Hatchback. I am finding the upper end is a bit shrill - but with my system (8-band EQ) I can tone that down just a bit. If I only had bass/treble control I might be disappointed. Very pleased with the full range of sound they produce.
Pros: Great all around sound (even down to 70, +/- 20 Hz). Crossovers help ensure clarity.
Cons: Highest Hz range can be shrill. (I'm running 60W RMS to each 6.5"+tweeter, possibly less power would be less shrill)
Summary: Replaced the front stock speakers in my 09 Sierra with these. Read a lot saying I wouldn't be happy unless I installed an amp too, but decided to try without the amp first. What a huge difference! The stock speakers were very muddy sounding. These cleaned up the sound a lot.
Summary: I was hesitant to buy these because of previous reviews but I'm beyond happy that I did! I previously had old kicker component 5&1/4's in both doors and they were no where near as clean and loud as these C2650's!
Summary: Sound great, plenty of power handling. Match nicely to the JL class D amp. Only thing is... the crossover has a max attenuation of -3dB for the tweeter output, maybe I'm too sensitive to high frequencies but I'd like a lower setting.
