Summary: Pretty good speakers. I knew going in that they wouldn't fit the front doors of my 2013 Toyota 4runner without some tweaking. I made a pair of adapters from MDF and they fit fine. Because they're high in sensitivity and low in impedence, they worked fine with the stock head unit. Seem solidly built. Much better sound than the stock speakers.
Pros: Good build quality, good sound. Much improved bass. Compatible with stock head units.
Summary: I used these to replace the front door speakers in my 2007 Dodge Ram. Powered by a Rockford P1000x5D these speakers sound AMAZING! Crisp highs and hard hitting, teeth vibrating lows! I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for great all around sound!
Summary: Even though the site said these speakers would not fit, they went in just fine. The sound qualities of these speakers are night and day better than the so call "premium Alpine System that came with the car. Clarity and proper bass is what these speakers bought to my Dodge Charger. This was money well spent for sure. Also a special thanks to my product advisor from Crutchfield for all of his help.
Pros: Solid build, huge magnet, great tweeter. Speaker just reeks high quality.
Cons: Not really a con but, these speakers will fit in a 2014 Dodge Charger!
Summary: Had these installed in my 2012 Toyota 4runner SR5 in the front doors. They sound incredible with the factory stereo and don't see a need to change my stereo head unit. The bass vibrates the door and rear view mirrors, and that's without an amplifier, just the stock radio. I used the factory speaker frames (after cutting the guts out) to mount these. Fit perfect without modifying the door panel grills.
Pros: Awesome efficiency as even compared to factory speakers plus much more clear mids and highs and an actual boost to the bass believe it or not. The installer was even shocked.
Cons: None, not sure why anyone would give this product bad reviews. Take my word on it, I am a musician and audio electronics expert.
