Summary: These were used to upgrade Ford factory speakers which were poor at best. They were a nice drop-in upgrade for my Ford system with Sirius radio. The stock speakers sort of made Sirius radio a waste of money, now it will be much more enjoyable. The improvement in sound quality is just amazing. I enjoy a wide range of music like 50's, 60's, 70's, Rock, The Blues and Smooth Jazz.
Pros: Crutchfield provided the excellent support documentation and nice wiring harness adapters to make it the upgrade very easy to perform.
Summary: These are GREAT sounding speakers. The highs are crisp and clear, the bass is rich and full. I replaced the original factory Infinity's with these because of extensive research into every spec. Crutchfield offered. These speakers will more than satisfy your expectations. I've waited 14 years to replace the factory speakers and I wish I did it sooner. I missed out on a lot of audio pleasure!
Pros: Great audio detail, easy install, adjustable tweeter angle, great reputation.
Summary: SO, my wife's factory BOSE speakers decided to start rotting in her 2007 Mazda 3 Hatchback so I was on a quest to fine the best ones. Now, the BOSE factory system does have an external amp, a tweeter in the door, and a small subwoofer, so I knew my work was cut out for me. I had to: a) find 2 ohm speakers (these are 3 ohm, FYI) to replace the door speakers so the impedance load wouldn't screw anything up and I could draw enough power from the amp b) make sure they fit...
Summary: Replaced both front door speakers in my 2009 Ford Escape, which had the standard 4 speaker factory speakers. Could not tell much difference before and after, the speakers did not make a lot of difference (although they are slightly clearer than before).
Pros: Fit perfectly and easy to install with Crutchfield wiring harness and their great instructions
Summary: Replaced factory speakers in daughter's '04 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Powered with Pioneer AVH-X2500BT and Alpine MRP-F300. Great end results with a very pleased 18 year-old who listens to classic rock, hip hop and pop. Paired with a Sound Ordnance B8-PTD to handle the low end. The system work well together and the directional tweeters in the Infinitys make a difference. Opted not to use the high end boost in the speaker.
Pros: Sound quality, ease of install, directionally adjustable tweeter
Summary: INCREDIBLE!!!!! Bought these to replace the OEM speakers in my 2012 Ford F-150 Supercab. The OEM speakers were just awful. I am extremely impressed with these speakers. As someone wrote in another review they sound much better if you select the +3db option which is a nice touch. They have plenty of good clean, clear sound with plenty of punch for a 6x8. Install time was about 40 minutes total and was very simple, even for the first time installer.
Pros: The Audiophile in me lives again. GREAT super clean, distortion free sound.
