Overall, very nice product

  • Summary: Overall, very nice product. You might find a better component set, but not near this price point. My only complaint with the speakers is that the wiring hookup for the tweeters uses the smallest allen wrench and screw that could be made. I actually stripped mine and after calling Infinity tech support, they said it happens frequently and that I should just solder it. That was easier said than done because the allen screw is recessed.

  • Summary: Great product at a great price. For those of you who take listening to music seriously-then these are the speakers for you. Inifinity KAPPA's provide sound quality that's miles ahead of the rest.

Highs are too bright and unbearable. Tweets have no detail.

  • Summary: I'm not an audio geek, I just wanted a little more power with clearer highs and more bass. This set of speakers was mounted up front in my car. Keep in mind that they are huge. Not the biggest on the market at all, but modification was necessary. The worst part about these was the tweeter. I used them for two weeks and now they are in the trash. New car audio shoppers should know the difference between loud highs and harsh, bright highs.

system build

  • Summary: I have yet to install. I am very pleased with the appearance and quality. I have also bought the Kappa FOUR amp with 125 per channel and am very excited to hook it all up. I have three amps and am waiting to buy a genetic or shuriken battery to support the load. I also want the DQXS audio control EQ to supplement my subs plus 4 pairs of interior speakers. I will rewrite a review once I have all the money to buy the pieces.

Amazing clear sound, power hungry

  • Summary: I have these pared up with a Rockford Fosgate P400-4 amp, they sound amazing! both component pieces (tweets and woofer) up from and the rear speakers are simply the woofer only (no tweet), producing a great full tone sound. I originally had the front door speakers (tweet and woofers) ran off my AVX-820 JVC head unit, however the speakers would cut out around the 30 volume level.

Kappa speakers

injoyful, Ebay
4 April 2010
  • Summary: Excellent with the exception of a hardware problem, specifically with the ridiculously small set screw for the tweeters. Three out of four screws loosened fine, the fourth could not be loosened with the minute tool supplied. Had to drill out screw, put wire in & dump solder in to hold it. I had to get ready for a car show & this made the warranty void.

"OK price/quality ratio, needs home-made-tweeking though"

  • Pros: Crispy clear sound in the mid frequency range. Very crisp sound in the highest frequencies.
  • Cons: The mid range of the tweeter (higher than human voice, lower than hiss) are way too loud and aggressive. Totally pushing the rest of the sound image to the background Listening for longer periods to this set is tiring to the ears and becomes annoying.
