great value

Dan from St Louis MO, Sonic Electronix
2 September 2014
  • Conclusion: I installed these in my 2005 VW GLI with the monsoon system. installation was not easy. It was not the fault of Alpine. It was all VW's fault. the speakers sound great! To tell the truth they sound better then I expected for under $50.

definitly worth their weight

CH407IC1 from Gardiner, NY, Sonic Electronix

  • Conclusion: I purchased these speakers as a replacement for the stock ones. !free warning them up and letting them break in I have to say they far exceeded my expectations I have them wired to a pioneer fhx700bt 50wX4 pushing my mids and highs and they take whatever I throw at them .

unbelievable sound!

ant from new york, Sonic Electronix
8 December 2013
  • Conclusion: These Alpine type E's are all about sound quality. Lows, Mids, and highs all reproduce with such accuracy. They work best with a 50x4 headunit powering them. For such a low price, I was honestly blown away when I heard these babies singing in a 97 maxima.

Nice sounding entry level component set

JP from Nee,WI, Sonic Electronix
27 January 2013
  • Conclusion: I bought 2 sets of these for my 98 blazer 4door. I was a little concerned about the fit but all went well. All I had to do was drill new holes to mount the speakers(speakers and mounting base), reused the factory screws also.

Great sound at great price

Hell, stone from Sonora ca, Sonic Electronix
28 December 2012
  • Conclusion: After som advice from sonic I instaled these in place of a pair of 6x9's with a adapter kit. There is a loss of the bass as compared with the factory speakers but they have a soft warm tone and the tweaters have a nice sound that is not screachey.

Great set for the money Will outperform sets costing $100 to $150 easily!

mesplou1, Ebay
7 September 2012
  • Summary: For the price these compare to speakers at twice the price . Maybe not $200 to $300 sets but you know what I mean. Plus the fact you can install the tweeters seperately means you can point them at you, Which makes a lot of difference in the clarity of sound.
