Conclusion: These door speakers are great, especially when paired with a Kicker 200.4 amplifier (50 watts per channel at 2 ohms). The speakers are rated at 40 w RMS, so I followed the advice i was given by a pro installer. Make sure the amp is about 10 watts RMS more than the rms handling of the speakers. We can always turn down the gain. My installer told me that if you are on a budget, go with Kicker or Alpine ONLY.
The speakers are still on their way from CA to VA. next week review!

Summary: I bought four of these for my 2012 Optima. I have a dedicated Kicker Mono-block sub amp, model 300.1. The neat thing about Kicker is you get a certificate with it's actual tested RMS output (at less than .2% distortion). Mine came in at 327 watts RMS through one channel into my 2 MTX 10's sub box. It's awesome, but overpowering my stock head-unit and factor speakers (2012 Optima EX base).
Good, inexpensive speakers for better than stock sound.

Summary: For the price, these speakers work fine. They are the lowest end Alpine speakers you can buy, economy speakers. If you purchase them knowing that they aren't amazing, you will probably be satisfied with the buy.
Conclusion: 2010 regular cab GMC needed a more than just a radio. Put these in the doors to replace factory speakersthat were totaly dead. Too many choices out there, figured Alpine was as good a choice as any. Another gut call that went well. Very nice sound!!
