Summary: So the backdrop. I have a Titan king cab that I wanted to add some low end to. I'm not trying to win competitions just a little low end added to the factory setup. I had a Kicker "hideaway" and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. It did exactly what I wanted it to do.
Summary: Excellent subwoofer for its price range! Currently is installed in my s2000 and is more than powerful enough to make it though a sheet metal wall and thick plastic trim. Is powered by a 500rms bazooka amp. Sound is clear and very crisp.
Pros: Clean appearance
High build quality
Crisp clear sound
Very powerful when operated near the top of the RMS range.
Bezel hides the mounting screws
Cons: Rubber bezel could be damaged during install
Summary: This sub is absolutely AMAZING! This sub shakes my whole car even turned up a 1/4 and when its all the way up i'm able to shake the cars next to me. I'm only feeding it 100 watts also since if i hooked it up to my sound ordanance m1500 it would probably destroy my battery..
Summary: I love this sub. Even though, yes it is my first sub and yes, I am probably fanboying over it, It hits really hard. i have it paired with alpines MRV-500 amp and have the gain set to 2/3 and bass boost set to 9db.
Pros: Loud, accurate, great bang for buck.
Cons: Slight ruffling when it hits the higher or lower notes (almost inaudible though)
Summary: I wanted to share my experience since I used to be very heavy in the Crank it up scene in the 80's-90's. I used to run Lanzar Pro subs with 90-93 db efficiency. These are 86db. You have to double the watts to add 3 db so a more efficient sub takes less power to get the same db as cheaper subs.
Pros: Quality sound
Tight base in sealed box
Cons: wish was more efficient 86db not good enough
