Summary: 4 star subs. They look and feel a lot Better then they actually perform. From a durability stand point these woofers are horrible. Don't take much of a beating. SQ wise they're ok, they do dig pretty deep and get loud but the coils heat up quick and I'm only pushing half it's RMS rating CLEANLY in a proper sealed box. JL 500/1v2 is my amp. Can Barely hear it. Your gonna wanna go ported but I stay stray from Alpine for $140 and get something else.
Summary: Do not buy these if you want to use the power rating as a guide put a Kenwood 9106d on a 10 rated at 1000 watts and blew 2 of the back to back now I'm out 140$ cause they false advertise the power they handle
Summary: i love them but sadly i never got a chance 2 hear it, kuz the amp i purchased wit it was defective. then b4 i could do anything wit it, i went to jail. and when i got out i was told it was stolen. so i sure would love to get me another pair, but times r hard now.
Summary: GREAT BUY!! I've got 2 just, installed in a Trailblazer SS. Sealed custom box. Went from kicker cvr's to these. What a world of difference. The base is deep and the range is great. Pushed by a 2400 watt Hifonics amp. Wired at 1 ohm parallel. Sound amazing especially for the price. Great for all kinds of music. I listen to rock mostly and these things sound great!! Great buy would definitely recommend these.
Summary: I do recommend this sub, im running 1000rms from an alpine mono amp at 2ohms, and even with the stock head unit set in bass at minimum and minimum gain on amp you can still perceive it. All my speakers and head unit are stock in my 14' runner, which sound pretty good, however u should change your speakers and amp them if you really want to use this sub at its max.
