Summary: I do recommend this sub, im running 1000rms from an alpine mono amp at 2ohms, and even with the stock head unit set in bass at minimum and minimum gain on amp you can still perceive it. All my speakers and head unit are stock in my 14' runner, which sound pretty good, however u should change your speakers and amp them if you really want to use this sub at its max.
Summary: These subs hit hard and sound fantastic! They are solid and mount very securely in my custom sub box for my 2011 Silverado. I power these with a 500W mono amp and it hits hard! Very happy with this purchase!
Summary: Well the easiest way to put it, I love it! lol I've always known Alpine to be a good brand especially in the speakers. I've had friends who've had Type R's and they've always sounded good. Nice deep hard bass, I know a lot of that depends on your enclosure as well but you have to have a good sub to initiate the good sound. For the size of the sub it can handle quite a bit of power.
Summary: No complaints about this sub. I only had room for a 10" and was moving up from a Punch P2 and the amount of bass this speaker puts out compared to the old sub (which I thought was pretty decent) is pretty outstanding. I'm only pushing it with 600 watts RMS, so it's even got room to grow!
Summary: What can i say, its a beast. I have this 10 in a small subthump for a colorado crew. And at only 500rms it bumps loud and low. Most people think its a 12. Its definately impressive. Very happy.
Summary: Superior power handling, crisp deep bass levels! Exceptional durability. The Type R is Alpines top of the line pretty much. This is a awesome bang for the buck if your looking to do a single subwoofer setup. Crisp Bass, with deep lows. Excellent overall Value!
Summary: added this sub to my camaro's Boston Acoustic system along with a JX1000/1D - JL Audio Monoblock. Makes the BA system sound amazing adding that much needed punch that only a sub can give. this thing really kicks. I have it in a stealth sealed box and it sounds great.
