Reasonably priced, well built, and an excellent sound for the price.

Summary: Great speakers for the price. I wish they didn't have the bass blocker because these have some great potential for lower bass. Alpine did this for cleaner sound. My Pioneer headunit has a high pass filter for the speakers already. (A high pass filter/crossover cuts out low bass frequencies) By cutting out the low bass from other speakers I've found you can get much louder, and a cleaner sounding system.
Good for the money, run off HU or amped, but you will still need a sub

Summary: I bought this product to replace OEM door speakers on a 2002 Nissan Sentra SE-R. I chose these for the Alpine price-to-quality ratio, for the fact that I can run them off head unit power now and an amp later, and because the materials they are made from (plastic basket, poly cones, rubber surround) will stand up well in my econo-box car very poorly weather-sealed doors. I also like big silk dome tweeters.
Summary: I installed these speakers in my Wrangler JK. I planned on having to figure a way to get these tweeters into the JK's tweeter housing. No fear they fit right in there. No alterations needed to be made. They also come with OEM adapters to make the install easier. The sound is good for a speaker priced higher than this one. So it is a good deal.
Summary: The speakers are great! Great sound and finally no more buzzing. However, the speaker set only came with one speaker wire. I had to cut the wire in half and make new connectors to wire the second speaker. I was greatly annoyed by that aspect; but the job is done!
Summary: First impression is the clarity of these speakers. I listened to Polk's, Infinity, Sony and Kenwood. These Alpine speakers sounded the brightest and clearest. They handle a modest amount of bass but are really not made to pound out the bass like a subwoofer does. Best bet is to buy a set of these for the front and rear doors of your car and a seperate sub and sub amp for your trunk. Then blend the sounds together and you will be very happy.
Summary: I purchased this for my son's car and found these to be well built, and easy to install. I fount the quality to be top notch, as I would expect from Alpine. I only wish they had a bit more sound. However, that is most likely due to the fact that they are currently being powered by the head unit, with no secondary amplification.
