Summary: Maybe it's the Alpine PDX-V9 amp I got to power my system, but something just isn't delivering the punch I had hoped for. While the sound is quality, I was really hoping for a more powerful system.
Summary: These speakers pack quite a punch for being only 5.25". These speakers have crisp sound and a lot of bass. I have it installed in a 2005 Accord EX and it makes my rear-view mirror shake (no sub installed). These speakers are well worth the money as I am only putting ~50 watts rms to each along with the spr69. These speakers are true quality loud speakers as I've owned eminence, selenium, american bass, etc.
Pros: Very light, crisp, loads of bass.
Cons: makes my doors shake violently even when turned down, dynamat may be the solution.
Summary: great speakers. i put them in my dodge ram quad cab. they sound clear and very easy to install. i put them in the rear doors and drilled holes for the tweeters. i have jbl 6x9 in the front doors with an alpine pdx-v9 5 Chanel amp 100 watts rms x4. 500watts rms mono to power the sub. great sound quality and fair price. couldnt recommend these speakers more.
Pros: easy install. great quality and they last had them over a year. recommend a good amp with 100 watt rms. tweeters are adjustable and crossovers work well
Cons: the only cons is that you should use sound damping for vibration.
Conclusion: These speakers are absolutely amazing! But you definitely need a good amp to get your money's worth out of them. Unamplified they are just okay, but run them off a good amp with 100W RMS like they're intended to be used and you won't need a subwoofer, no joke. Paired these with the Type R 6x9's for the rear and a 600W 4ch amp and the whole car shakes! They punch really hard and sound amazingly clean.
Conclusion: I just hooked these speaker up today and they are crisp and clear sound is much better than my Focals I had. They were coaxils but these components make a world of difference. My front stage sounds so much better bass is crossed over on my kenwood excellon 895 at 60 hertz and their is no distortion.
Summary: These are a great pairs of Speakers. I installed them in a 2003 Buick Park Avenue. I rewired all the speakers with new wire and hooked it to Rockford Fosgate Punch P4004 50W x 4 Car Amplifier. I put the Crossovers in the trunk and ran 2 sets of wires to each door. I hooked them up to a Kenwood DNX690HD before the amp it they played perfect.
Pros: They mount perfectly in my car and sound great
