Kawika "Life's a beach...so I moved to Kauai!", Amazon
1 May 2014
  • Summary: ok...just needed a simple stereo for my jeep...not flashy so no one would swipe it. Ordered and received the first one...installed it and =( just a loud squeal did not work in any mode. Returned it and received a replacement...installed it and the am/fm works great however, the usb input does not work =( FYI, I am an aviation electronics technician, have my FCC license, am a journeyman electronic tech. and I used to be a car stereo installer...so I know what I am doing.

Better than nothing.

Luis Paez, Amazon
16 November 2013
  • Summary: This unit is only marginally better than my stock AM radio. I had to massage the holes to get this to fit. All that being said it is better than no radio.

A repacement for an older small truck

Blindrabbit, Amazon
11 October 2013
  • Summary: I got this unit today, I was hoping to find the good ol classic cassette player, but I guess these are going away too. It does have a usb port and an sd card slot for music.. I have not installed it yet but the instructions are pretty simple. I will update this when I install it over the weekend. It did ship via ups. Update: After installing this unit in the truck the tuner worked fine while sitting still, but as you ride around the stations all fade away.

Perfect for what I needed

Ken, Amazon
12 August 2013
  • Summary: Put this in an older Jeep with a sound bar and was able to hide it easily. This radio isn't much, but is perfect for a vehicle that rarely has a top or doors on it (nobody in there right mind would steal this radio).

Will NOT FIT old cars including Corvettes the with no modifications to OEM dash faces

William D. Strowbridge "bstrow", Amazon
8 August 2013
  • Summary: This is touted as "fits most all old cars including Corvettes the with no modifications to OEM dash faces". Hogwash, The 2 knob shafts can be moved up to 5 1/2 inches apart, BUT, if you move the knobs the faceplate WILL NOT fit the knob shafts The holes only fit the non moved position The claim "fitis most all old cars including Corvettes the with no modifications" is false advertising!

Worse than junk

JC, Amazon
29 April 2013
  • Summary: I bought this radio for the cost and functionality. It was cheap i liked that alot unfortunately for the function, it doesn't function. it has power but no sound , nothing. If i could give less than zero I would. Does not work, brand new and defective, the cost to send and return is almost double the price of the radio. Pyle used to be a good brand name, not anymore.

old truck, good enough

pickup blues, Amazon
1 September 2012
  • Summary: I needed a two knobber to fit my dash but didn't want to pay a lot for it. The tuner kind of gets stations if the signal is strong but the dial isn't accurate so you have to hunt down your station. The SD/usb option works fine but there is no display so you either just listen in order or hunt and peck for tracks. Over all its probably priced fairly but next time I would pay a little more for a better unit.
