Summary: UPDATE: Kenwood released a firmware update in late 2011 for the bluetooth module. If you have this model and you have Bluetooth, you should stop by their site and download the appropriate update (you have to choose based on which phone platform you use)--it makes the Bluetooth integration much better. Just so you know up front: it's 2011, and this Kenwood (the DDX-516), has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
Summary: 1 magor flaw in this system. I installed this in my toyhauler with the expectation I could use the remote to turn the unit off with the remote purchased for the unit. The system can not be powered up or down. The remote has no illumination for operation in the dark. Otherwise so far I like this system...Sirius works very well. Dvd to remote 20" LED works great. Operation is cumbersom if you are not familiar with the manual.
Summary: I've the DDX516 unit for several months now and so far I really love it. I purchased the HD radio, Bluetooth, and rear view camera modules. The rear view and Bluetooth are great. I love being able to play all my iPhone music through Bluetooth. The music comes through Bluetooth with great quality and all of the bass comes through as well. I was surprised to learn that Bluetooth even supports next/previous song, pause, and play.
Summary: I had the DDX516 professionally installed with Sirius and Blue Tooth capability. Initially the radio would not stop playing when I called out on the Blue Tooth. I then installed an update, downloaded onto a CD and the problem resolved after many calls to tech support. Next the titles along the left hand side of the Sirius radio would just change at random. I would set Channel-song title-artist and they would scramble without any reason.
Summary: This is one of the best products ever. I got connected an 8 gig flash drive to it so I got all my songs and videos with me at all times. The cord is in the back too so I got it hidden under the console in my Tahoe and people always ask how I got all that music stored on my radio. The screen is crisp and bright. The unit displays album art in a small thumbnail which is cool.
Summary: I bought this unit about a month ago. I have been very happy with it. Screen display is nice. DVD video looks great. The rear USB, in my opinion, is better than the front, as you can store a flash drive in the glove compartment with no visual issues. I WAS able to hook a portable hard drive into this unit, but after talking to Kenwood, realized that I was limited to 32 gigs with this unit. No big deal, I bought a 16 gig flash drive.
