Summary: I purchased this unit in Sept 2012. Installation was straight forward (if you're electronically inclined). Sound Quality(amp power output) - 9/10 Features - 10/10 Logic/Interface - 9.5/10 Build Quality - 10/10 I have installed and used many car stereos since 1974 and this one is the best bang and quality for the the buck I have ever purchased.
Summary: I installed this a few days ago (purchased from elsewhere slightly cheaper). I spent a lot of time selecting a single-DIN with a large screen, then at the last minute went with this to keep as many buttons as possible (in a 2005 RAV4). The Pros: - Large, high-resolution, multi-line, info-filled, readable, variable-color screen - Plenty of buttons so you don't need to dig into menus for 99% of use, only to change settings.
Summary: Bluetooth calling, texting, and streaming music works fine with Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 phone, just can't control the music on the phone from the unit. Sound is better than original factory stereo, even with factory speakers still installed, probably because this unt has more tone adjustments. Tons of backlight color options is a nice feature. Installed in a 2006 Ford Escape with a install/trim kit.
Excellent old school choice for anyone looking at a factory replacement to add Bluetooth to their car

Summary: For the money, this is a great stereo deck. The MOSFET amps have a lot of power. Sounds great out of the box with the "Natural" equalization setting, made the factory speakers sound good. As with most of the new decks, it would be nice to find something with more of a polished factory look and less "bling", but this JVC is better looking than most (more subdued than the Pioneer).
Summary: There is not another head unit out there that packs the same features with such a reasonable price. The ability to pair 2 phones to this head unit is great. Both my wife and I can have our phones auto pair whenever we are in the car and we have not had any issues. (Lumia 920 and Lumia 900 both Windows Phone) Great Stereo for a great price but it does have a few quirks.
Summary: I was looking for a double-din head unit for my 2005 corolla and I didn't want to spend big $$ on a touchscreen unit with features like navigation and dvd that I wouldn" use. At first I looked at Clarion and Pioneer units, but once I came upon the JVC-900 I was sold! For one, it's much cleaner/classier looking than the other comparable units with it's glossy finish and clear display. Secondly, it had all the functionality I was looking for with a fairly cheap price tag!
Summary: The unit is great for the price I paid. Sub two hundy. The issue is with the scrolling text being super small and not actually scrolling. The bottom of the unit has text for radio stations and instead of having scrolling text or even using the entire bottom to display text, it uses a small corner to display tiny amounts of information at a time.
Summary: I was looking for a cd player to replace the factory one we had in our vehicle. There are quite a bit out and it was hard to make the decision. I had assistance from a pro that installs stereos and he recommended for me to look at JVC's. I liked this model, a lot. I got it for $75 cheaper than via other places that are known for good deals. I've had this for a year now and I love it.
Summary: Installed in 2004 KIA - Installed easily - Bluetooth works perfectly - Aux-in, AM and FM radio work with just a touch - Can aux-in from i-Pad or Cassette Player and answer phone at the same time - Equivalent with a factory install; highly recommend
