Summary: I installed this stereo in my truck over the weekend. Overall it is a great unit, and I am quite happy with it. The HD radio is great, display is clear and bright, and it works great with the backup camera I installed. One thing that is lacking though is a way to automatically dim the display when the headlights are turned on. Since the display is so big and bright, it would be nice to have a way to automatically dim it at night.
Summary: Overall the unit is good if you've moved beyond discs. The only function missing that could easily be added (by software) is to have the unit running with just the clock on the screen. This would mean the unit was on and ready to receive a call via bluetooth, but the screen would not be taken up with anything else (like radio, ipod functions, aux).
Summary: Perfect. Haven't found a problem yet. I'm an avid audiophile and I have to say this is the best unit yet! Be warned, mirrorlink is inoperable unless you have a modified device (android) iPhone or iPod I couldn't say if aha worksbut everything else is good and I custom built it into a 2004 Chevrolet silverado.
Summary: My only complaint would be that you need a rooted android phone and a custom app from XDA-Developers for FULL mirroring. Full mirroring gives you the actual phone's display, so that you can use apps from your phone vs. apps that the headunit allows you to utilize. In addition, if you listen to Satellite Radio, you cannot utilize the mirroring mode to view maps from apps like Waze or Google Maps while listening to music.
Summary: I upgraded to this receiver from a Pioneer AppRadio 2. If you've used the AppRadio, especially with a Samsung phone, you know how frustrating the experience can be. This receiver doesn't have all the Android functionality that the AppRadio has, but the overall user experience is much more streamlined. This radio has a nice bright screen.
