Conclusion: Over the years, I have run with many different car audio companies. When I first got into Car Audio (1990), I wanted to try everything on the market. I soon found out that there are certain items to stay clear from, and others that you need to have in any of your setups.
Conclusion: I needed more output from my radio and more control of my sound. I auditioned several units, but Audiocontrol EQS won. This unit has great voltage out to my amps (tons of clean headroom) and awesome eq adjustability. Pick one up today, you won't be disappointed.
Summary: I have a 2013 Toyota Avalon and wanted to upgrade my audio system without replacing the factory head unit. I installed a JL Audio cleansweep dsp and matched that up with the EQS. What a nice combination. I used a JL Audio Slash 300/4 v3 for my front and rears and a xd 600/1 for my sub (tw5v2).
Pros: Nice piece of hardware
plenty of flexibility for sound preferences
Summary: I've been using the EQS for 2 years now and It has been very reliable. For what this unit does, it does very well and I have no complaints. If you are like me and don't want to spend a ton on an expensive DSP this is a very good compromise.
Summary: Nice unit with lots of equalization and tuning options. I was running speaker level inputs so this was perfect to clean up the signal. I had never heard of them so my trust in the Crutchfield advisor was how I based my decision.
Pros: Lots of signal processing options. You can get a really nice sound from the factory head unit with this processor.
Cons: It takes a bit of tinkering to get the sound right and any bugs out of it. I had a whine which I was able to phase out by lowering the amp gains to their lowest setting and adjusting the input and output on the processor. The manual said to start by setting the volume to 3/4, but I set it at ab...
Conclusion: Audiocontrol as always been known for their quality processors. T his EQ is no exception except the buzz, hiss, click, pop & whining which it does not produce as other equipments do. This EQ give you control in the right octaves of music where you need it most.
Conclusion: The EQS in my opinion is a must have for anyone who truely loves car audio. With the three separate inputs and built in line drive you can't miss. Audiocontrol in the #1 brand when it comes to crossovers and EQs.
Conclusion: this is the best eq i ever had. my friends dont recomend using eq s in their sound systems but i have always used them and this one is perfect .i brought it tuned it an hid it in the trunk and all my friends always ask me how i get my system to sound so clear but i dont tell them i just laugh.
