Summary: Sucks! i-pod control is very bad, until it quit today. I-pod would quit play when we hit bumps and had to be unplugged and reinserted to the USB. FM reception very weak. Now that this stupid thing broke, after less than 2 years it is time realize what a piece of $200 junk. Replacement for sure will not be Sony.
Summary: I have a 98 Honda Civic with cheap pioneer 2-way 6's and 6x9's, a mid-range subwoofer in a sealed enclosure and this amp: Kenwood Kac-8105D 1000-Watt Class D Mono Amplifier Bluetooth calls are always clear on my end, however, I have received complaints of cave-syndrome (echo, distance) on about 30% of calls. I am not using an external mic, and I have less than ideal cell reception, so I can't blame the head unit entirely.
Summary: The deck was easily installed by my brother. I love the sound and the sound preset options. The illumination is also pretty cool. Great capabilities for this all-in-one stereo. Regarding the BT function...I have to speak a lot louder than I would normally and the other person struggles to hear me sometimes. Perhaps the external mike may fix that. Also accessing contacts takes quite a bit of time and is quite distracting while driving.
Summary: There are plenty of reviews of this radio- bottom line it sounds great and there are a lot of features. However, I was somewhat let down with the bluetooth phone access. It's somewhat cumbersome pushing buttons to make calls. Even just getting to the bluetooth menu so you can make a call sort of takes away from the handsfree intent. I spend a lot of time staring at the radio instead of the road when I'm trying to navigate through the address book.
Summary: Excellent sound quality EZ to use in every function and Handsfree that is as simple as touching the volume control and your phone is answered then you are talking literally thru your speakers touch volume again and you've just hung up nothing easier
Summary: Great stereo. Love the bluetooth. You don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket to receive calls. You will want to get an external mic, because the internal mic, although it works, is just not very good quality. Callers will complain that it is difficult to hear you. I used the Sony XAMC10 External Mic for BT (Black) and it works great. The only other complaint is that I have to use the controls in my ipod in my iphone to control song selections.
Summary: I bought this radio 4 months ago and I love it. I bought it to put in my 1999 Toyota Hilux Surf (Japanese version of the 4-Runner - I am from Jamaica) although they said it would not fit. Fits pretty good, the utility box below the radio is now hard to open, but i never open it anyway. The audio quality on CD, MP# is execellent. Better than what new cars are coming with (my wife has 2010 crv).
Summary: PRO: I am sure you know better than I do. Everything works fine. Price is low and come with all functions, ie: Bluetooth, Front USB, AUX, MP3, AM/FM.... CONS: * If you have your ipod connected with USB and your phone paired with BT. It mutes the music while there is incoming/outgoing phone call and it resumes my music while phone call ends. This works perfectly. If you have your ipod connected with BT and your phone paired with BT.
