Summary: It sounds OK, but the display makes me nuts. It has this stupid video playing all the time. Perhaps there is a way to re-set the display so it just shows what station is...
Excerpt: the sound if this unit is superb. I have had many sony unit over the years and this is by far the best for sound quality. How ever, SOny again misses the mark by a mile when it comes to basic function. Here is the list that is prompting me to dispose of this unit. 1- sub woofer volume level is six steps deep into the menu. Changing the volume of the sub is overly cluttered. this should be on click away. 2- the seek button is placed right between the "off" and "zap" buttons and actually lower in height. this makes selecting a next song a pain. Previous models had almost a paddle like arm, making forward and back very easy. 3- to bright at night. with all the other settings, can i not dim this infinitely. 4- changing the color only changes the text. the rest of the unit remains blue and this part does not dim. In my Tahoe, i lay a towel over it at night. 5- the HPF feature will not separate rear from front speakers. Tune the front to pass all above 100 hz and the rear is now set the same. in the menu you can select front, rear, or all. Problem is it does not work. 6- never ending "remove the faceplate" alarm when the key is turned off. Unless you run only an amp through the RCA outputs, the faceplate alarm will sound every time the power is turned off. This amazing feature comes at no extra charge from sony. I was running a set of 3.5" speakers from the deck. 6.5's and 6x9's through my JL amp. The beeps are annoying enough i omitted the 3.5's. To use the unit i will need to split the outputs and install a small amp somewhere to run these speakers. (thanks sony). So to sum it up, the unit sounds great, but i am not sure if the designers had driving in mind.
Pros: Great sound quality
Overall 2
sony does it again

Summary: First, the unit sounds great. I am tossing it in the trash because of sony's insistent stupidity. 1- never ending "remove the faceplate" alarm when the key is turned off.
Summary: it's good quality product, I wanted a car stereo that had different functions available like mp3, aux input and usb connectivity for an affordable price and of good name
Summary: This is my first USB car stereo and I love it. I've had it for about a year now. I shopped around town and tried several in person before picking this one.
Summary: I wanted a new head unit. I've never had one before and decided to try this brand even though many people recommend other brands such as Pioneer, Alpine, etc.
