HD? Well, yes and no. A decent factory replacement but hardly an upgrade.

Summary: For less than $100 this is a nice radio- crisp and loud, the buttons and menus are fairly well laid out and it's got an HD tuner. I don't give it 5 stars because of one tragic flaw- it's got HD, yes, but not the extra HD channels. Just the regular FM broadcast with HD1. AM reception is hardly stellar, but AM HD is cool, nearly as crisp as regular analog FM. If you want the full HD experience, then, buy a different radio.
Summary: Bought radio for wifes vehicle, as the factory one quit. Radio works great. What I don't like about it is it either just has a 24 hour clock or we can not figure out how to change it to a 12 hour clock!! Kinda bums her out!!
Summary: I've worked as a Radio Personality since 1979 so I know Radio from BOTH sides.......First of all let me say I like the sound and Audio features of this unit and the fact that it will play a data Disc BUT it will ONLY PLAY 99 CUTS OFF THE DATA CD YOU MAKE. That is BRAINLESS ! The person that wrote the instruction book was CLUELESS. The Equalizer settings are cool and I like the line input on the faceplate.
Summary: I had this radio in my car for a little under a year. I finally went back to my factory installed radio yesterday. From the very beginning I noticed that the reception for all analog channels was worse with this radio than with the factory one. When I did get an HD signal it sounded good but would fade in and out and would drive me crazy. I got zero AM reception. The flip cover rattled a lot. I finally figured out that I had to keep it open to stop the noise.
Summary: First, to clarify a prior comment: You can change the display settings so the front panel text can show the (a) album, artist and song title, or (b) station info, or (c) no info. The text will scroll when there are more characters than can fit. My big question is how do you tune to the HD2 stations? Yes, it will play HD FM stations, but in the NYC suburbs where I live our nearby stations have multiple HD channels.
Summary: If you want to save some money and really want HD Radio, buy this unit. The price is right. Otherwise buy a better unit. I installed this radio in my car replacing the failing factory unit. I wanted HD Radio so I could see the song titles and artists like a satellite radio. I just didn't want to pay the subscription fee for satellite. This unit's sound is great! Ok now for the rest of it. The display is hard to read. It has large pixels.
Summary: First of all, if you want to finally hear the brilliance of digital FM, this unit will deliver all the quality you want. I installed it into a Ford Ranger and installation was easy, even for a novice. The first CD stuck in the stiff disk feed, but it began working well after the third time. FM is sensitive and bright, MP3 features are really nice, although I can hardly tell when the limiter is on or off.
