Summary: This is an inexpensive and BASIC radio with some modern input methods (usb, SD and aux). Although has a digital AM/FM display, you are actually turning through its motions/stations just like an old fashion radio. There are no radio preset. Where you turn is is where it stays (again like and older radio). So far I have only tested the radio (far from "the city") and the SD input. The radio was slightly louder.
Summary: Packacked nicely, the stereo arrived in about a week with free shipping, nice deal. I hooked it up and it wouldnt work, then out of nowhere it began to work. I finished crimping the wires and checked it one more time to see if it was working before i put the console back on and it did. I adjusted the console and attached the face frame to the stereo, i turned the key and no lights, no sound, nothing. End of story, it worked for a total of 3 minutes.
Summary: Very basic system, but for the price I didn't expect more. So far it's produced acceptable music from the SD card and the radio is sensitive. One down side I've found is that if you have anything charging from the cigarette lighter (like phone, etc) that causes a significant amount of noise on AM stations.
Summary: JUST SO THAT YOU UNDERSTAND! THIS IS AN EXTREMELY PRIMITVE RADIO. THE SD CARD WAS INSERTED AND OUT OF 60 TRACKS I COULD ONLY ACCESS ABOUT 8-10 TRACKS, (USB INCLUDED). DEFINITELY NOT 200 WATTS YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
Summary: I bought this to go in my Jeep CJ7. I didn't want to cut the dash, so I needed a shaft style stereo. Also, if it gets wet or stolen, I am only out $40. You get what you pay for and this doesn't cost a lot. But it works fine and looks ok. The USB works, I haven't tried the SD reader yet. The factory speakers were still in the Jeep, so I haven't tried the ones that came with it.
Summary: I don't think the unit has the power output as advertised. With it cranked all the way up it was just not that loud. It is a very simple unit which is good. The speakers that came with it were very cheap but for the cost, you really could not expect much else. Not a bad unit for the money but nothing great either. It does make you think that CD players will be following the 8 tracks soon as everyone goes to the SD card.
