Summary: In general I am very pleased with this head unit. I am initially using it with the OEM speakers in a 01 4Runner and am happy with the sound quality. it has lots of features for the price, I use it for FM/FM2/Iphone bluetooth music/iphone calls. The star deduction is due to the lack of voice to text. Using bluetooth I can play music and make/receive phone calls just fine but it will not recieve audio for voice to text.
Summary: If you are familiar with the Pioneer car stereo receivers of the past say 5-10 years, you will be right at home with this one. I bought this unit to upgrade my 4 year old DEH-P4000UB a model with USB/iPod interface. This 9500 model adds Bluetooth, a second USB input, HD Radio reception, selectable color illumination, Mixtrax feature, flip down CD slot and a few other neat features over the 4000.
Summary: This is a fine radio, with all the bells and whistles (SIRIUS, HD, CD, remote etc). Works great, and the remote is a pleasure to use. Installation and setup was straightforward. Only gripe is that the display is small.
Summary: The unit is very nice looking and sounds very good. The only thing i have found is that the Voice comands for the iphone dont work when tuner is chosen as the source. I dont know if this is just me not setting something right or the unit is biult that way. But all other features are there and they work great.
Summary: seems to work well. though it needs more display optins. it never knows what song is playing on pandora thourgh my android. the hd radio is almost a gimmick. the calls work well but it takes the radio almost a minute to recongize my phone when i turn on the bluetooth
Summary: Using with iPhone 4s. Bluetooth works flawlessly with any app. Play resumes where it left off when I return to the car. USB is a bit unreliable. I get intermittent disconnects. Music drops, phone beeps, and music starts again, often the wrong music from the default iPod app instead of the app I was using. Controls are not intuitive or ergonomic. To switch sources requires multiple presses on the source switch to cycle back around.
