Conclusion: I owned the baby brother of this deck (6600BT) and I just had to this deck for my other car which uses a multiple amp set up, that is where those beautiful 3 pairs of RCA outs come into play. Built in Bluetooth works great during phone calls and Pandora streaming. This deck does it all, very user friendly with a nice variety of settings to get the sound you desire.
Summary: Installed in my wifes 2005 Pt Cruiser. amazing sound quality, easy install, im a first time pioneer owner and will continue to use their products.
Pros: bluetooh works flawlessly with playing music or talking on the phone. the supplied mic that comes with this units is a great plus as well.
Cons: seeing the screen in sunlight is a little difficult. i had to unplug the unit in in order to use my wifes phone through the usb (error19) but its working perfectly. hopefully this will help someone, but if your using the blutooth to play music it wont matter, lol
Summary: Got this for the bluetooth so I could play my iphone wirelessly. I was surprised by the great sound, though.
Pros: Since I was replacing a previous bought Crutchfield radio with the same adapter, the installation was fast.
Cons: This radio does not have a rear bolt (nor a place for one) to attach the back support that mounts to the slider rail in the 2005 Ranger. I had to use a couple of Jenga blocks to prop up the back of the radio. Odd that the instructions tell you to use the adapter, but its quite out of the question.
Cons: Screen is not bright enough to see in the sunlight (common issue for Pioneer for many years). Screen is too busy. I like a simple display. I don't need / want all kinds of lights flashing at me. Going from a double din (touch screen) down this this, is hard pill to swallow. Pioneer manual is very hard to follow for install and use.
