Summary: I bought this unit to install in an SUV and to date it is working well. The bluetooth is a great feature and works flawlessly. The unit was recommended by a technician who indicated that this was good value for money.
Summary: I have been using this for a couple of months now and I must say it is a great head unit for what I paid for it. The only downside is as others have stated, the display is hard to see in certain lighting conditions. For the amount of features you get at the price you pay, dealing with a dim display is worth it.
Summary: A few years ago my car CD player began to malfunction, and this year it finally bit the dust entirely. So, after doing basically no research I did Amazon roulette and this is what I decided to try out. As luck would have it, it's a great device. First and foremost, it plays CDs like a dream. I'm a man who loves to own physical media, so this is fantastic. Be it a legitimate CD release or a mix cd I burned, this works perfectly.
Summary: I had a JVC unit without bluettoth before this and I think the JVC had better sound and had more intuitive controls. Other than that I haven't found any flaws with this unit. I mostly use bluetooth to listen to Spotify radio from my Android phone. I can control the basic functions (play, pause, next, previous) of the Android Spotify App when I connect my phone to this unit using bluetooth. Also the song name, artist and album of the currently playing song are displayed.
Summary: Installed in a 2007 Corolla: Sound is good, and is customizable over 5 frequencies instead of your standard treble/bass tuning. Looks pretty good too, and the ability to customize both display and key color should satisfy most reserved or gaudy setups. However, as noted by pretty much everyone else, the "dimmer" is a joke. For driving at night, specifically out of city lights, I set a custom color of the lowest blue you can get (Red 0, Blue 20, Green 0).
