Summary: the directions for installation aren't the best, but FINALLY aftyer disconnecting the car battery for the TENTH time, the programming worked! Yay. I find the tuning know and other little features somewhat difficult to deal with. THANK God it comes with a remote!
Summary: After purchasing in Amazon, found out it was cheaper at Walmart. It does everything it said it does, however the lights are too brite at night and it bothers e when driving at night. Also, still not figure out how to turn the radio off. If I do not want to hear the radio, I have to put it in AUX, which it remains on and the lighting stay on as well.
Summary: As an audio device and Tuner/Aux/CD player this is quite satisfactory for upgrading a worn out OEM radio for normal daylight conditions. I rate this, and any other similar device that has no means of controlling the panel illumination, as unsatisfactory for night driving. The unnecessary animation of the display and bright red lights replicate standard warning and caution lights / alarms and may become distractions or irritations at night.
Summary: I replaced an old sony stereo with this in my Jeep Wrangler. I installed this myself and it was fairly straight forward. The wiring diagram in the instructions was easy to follow. I'm happy with how it sounds. Its a definite improvement from my old stereo. The ipod integration works well. The usb port charges my iPod touch (4th gen) and I can search and play music either using the stereo buttons or from my iPod.
Summary: Sound quality on this deck is better than my old stock one. Color customization is nice. However, there are a couple of things that bother me about the unit in general. The main issues I have: - Main gripe is that the user interface is not intuitive. It takes some playing around with and even some reading of the manual to figure out how to change certain settings. Annoying.
